MCKAY - Jeff and Tena McKay are thrill-
ed to announce the early arrival of their
son Kenneth Mitchell, born August 15
weighing six pounds. A little brother for
Samantha. Proud grandparents are Helen
McKay and Peter and Abeta Dekoker of
Exeter.
WITSCHI - Dan and Marilyn and proud to
announce the safe arrival of their baby
daughter, Christina Marie, born on July 20,
1989, at Stratford General Hospital, and

ROSS LAVERNE COTTLE
Ross Laverne Cottle of Usborne
Township, died Tuesday, August 15, 1989 at
South Huron Hospital. He was 51.
Mr. Cottle is survived by his wife, the
former Leona Gould; sons, James of Kit-
chener and Gerald at home; and daughters
Catherine (Mrs. Ed Chappel) of Seaforth,
Karen (Mrs. John Hamilton) of Staffa and
Sherrie and Sandra at home.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Jason,
Cory, Robbie and Darren; and a sister
Lois (Mrs Arthur Harris) of Stratford.
Mr. Cottle was predeceased by one son
Garry (1987) and by his parents, Alvin and
Nora Cottle.
He rested at the R.C. Dinney Funeral
Home in Exeter and a funeral service was
held at the funeral home on 'Thursday,
August 17. The Reverend Sheila
MacGregor officiated. Interment in Exeter
Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to
A.L.S. would be appreciated by the family.
JOSEPH ALBERT HART
Joseph Albert Hart of Dublin died Sun-
day, August, 20, 1989 at the Stratford
General Hospital. He was 80.
He was the son of the late Owen Hart
and Bridgett Oreilly. Predeceased by on
sister Mary McCarthy and Frank Hart.
Survived by sister-in-law Elizabeth Hart of
Stratford and nieces and nephews. The
family received friends at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on Tuesday
and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Mass of the
Christian Burial will be held at St.
Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Dublin.
Interment St. Columban Cemetery. A
Royal Canadian Legion Service was held
at the funeral home Tuesday.
DORA TAYLOR
Dora Taylor of Seaforth died Saturday,
August 19 at the Stratford General
Hospital. She was 78.
Born in Stephen Township December 23,
1910, she was the daughter of the late
Cyrus Green and the former Mary Zaff.
She was predeceased by her husband John
Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Ladies
Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion
Branch 156, Seaforth.
Surviving are five sons, Fred and wife
Sylvia, Don and wife Lorriane, all of St.
Catharines, Roy and Wife Dale of Strat-
ford, Bedford and wife Joyce of London,
Robert and wife Rebecca, of Germany; a
daughter, Mrs. Jim (Gloria) Racho of
Egmondville; two brothers, Hank and Bert,
both of Grand Bend; three sisters, Ruth
Joyce, of, Michigan, Mildred Hogarth of
London, and Beatrice McKean, of Ottawa;
also 11 granchildren and three great-
grandchildren. She was predeceased by
two brothers and two sisters.
Friends were received at the' Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home in Seaforth on Tues-
day, August 22 where a service will be
held today. Burial will be in Egmondville
Cemetery.

VERBERNE — RUSSELL
Mary Verberne and `Peter Russell were
married Saturday, July 22, 1989 at St.
James R.C. Church in Seaforth by Fr.
Charles Caruana. The bride is the
daughter of Joseph and Johanna
Verberne of Seaforth and the groom is
the son of Gordon and Gloria Russell of
NOW Brunswick, Matron of honour was
Hendrika Erb, sister of the bride, and
bridesmaids were Mary Verberne, sister-
in-law of the bride, Rita Verberne-Miller,
sister of the bride, and Angela Erb, niece
of the bride. Best man was Richard
Verberne, brother of the bride and guests
were ushered by Joe Verberne, brother of
the bride and Darrin Carrier, friend of
the groom. Ring bearer was Kevin
Verberne, and altarboys were Chris and.
Chad Verberne, all nephews of the bride.
Music was provided by Mark Rowsom
and Joe Verberne and readers included
Doug Erb, Nancy Verberne, Jason Erb,
Michelle Erb, Mark Russell and Scott
Russell. Offertory was delivered by
Frank and Mary Ann Verberne. A recep-
tion was held at St. Columban Knights of
Columbus Hall.
BAER -COOPER
Tracey Lee Baer and Brian Jeffrey
Cooper were united in marriage Saturday,
August 19, 1989 in an outdoor wedding at
the bride's parents' home in Benmiller.
They were married by Rev. Rick Magie.
The bride is the daughter of Frank and
Kay Baer of Benmiller and the groom is
the son of Doug and Carole Cooper of RR
2 Kippen. Matron of honor was Jan Ryan
of Exeter and bridesmaids were Susan Ja-
ques of St. Marys, Kim Murray of Exeter,
Barb Ferguson of Exeter, and Roxanne
Kernighan of Goderich. Junior Bridesmaids
were Alyson Baer of Goderich and Andrea
McClinchey of Hensall. Groomsman was
Phil Lovell of Kippen and ushers were
Dave Skea of Hensall, Andre Reymer of
Alymer, Rob McClinchey of Hensall and
Steve Copper of Exeter. Junior Ushers
were' Danny McClinchey of Hensall and
Derek Smith of Seaforth. Erica Baer of
Goderich was flowergirl and Danny
Ferguson of Exeter was ringbearer.
Darlene Bogie was the ogranist. Following
the ceremony a reception was held at the
Hensall and District Community Centre.

The family of Mrs. Margaret Beuerman
surprised their mother when friends,
relatives and neighbors gathered at her
home In Seaforth to help celebrate her
birthday on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Frost, Norman and
Douglas of Nepean, near Ottawa, spent a
couple of days with Mr. and Mrs. Nor-
man Hubley at Seaforth. Mrs. Bryan Mc-
Clure, Amy and Steven, visited at the
same home Saturday evening.

spent the past two weeks with Mr. and
