Itigh winners were Tom and Mary En Emery of the Fairmont Club, Lon- a h with 3w plus 48. Second was Don and F1 Tait of Thistle Club, London with 3w P. 44. Third went to Mick McFadden AIM Fran Menary of Elmwood Club, Lon- don with 3w plus 42. Fourth was Gord Hardy and Muriel McKim of Dresden with 3w plus 31. High two game winner was Sandy Doig and Thelma Coombs with 2w plus 45 op'. Sixth was Wes Watson of Thistle Club, London. Seventh went to Walt Newcombe and Della Slavin 2w plus 42. Eighth prize went to George and Darlene Wood of St. Marys with 2w plus 41 and Consolation went to Frank and L. Nuttall of London Fairmont Club. Thelma Dale also presented a special prize to the winners and thanked everyone who came and made the tourna- ment a success in Lorne's memory. Last Tuesday evening the Seaforth Junior Farmers took to the greens for an eveuin} - lawn bowling. Bowling in Exeter last Wednesday the team of Art Finlayson and Sandy Doig were sixth in a men's pairs tournament. In mixed pairs at Goderich last Mon- day Oliver Pryce and Olive Papple were prize winners but the other Seaforth teams competing did not fare as well. In other mixed pairs tournaments Neil and tournament Edna Bell wer, fourth at Lucknow and third at Clinton with 3w plus 47 op'. Bill Brown and Carol Carter also were con - .solation winners at Clinton. In ladies trebles at Mitchell, Carol Carter, Edna Bell and Thelma Coombs won first prize. Also at Stratford on Fri- day, Mary Finlayson and Jean Lunn were fifth bowling at the ladies pairs Brad- shaw tournament. An executive meeting is being held at the Club House Monday evening at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening will be a potluck supper with bowling or cards after. It is being held early this month due to the anniver- sary tournament August 23. We hope to make this 60th anniversary tournament the best ever. Good bowling to all. Cor- bett photo. Controlled deer hunt in Perth A four day controlled deer hunt has been proposed to take place this fall in Perth County. The season Will run from Monday, December 4. to Thursday, December 7, 1989. Only shotguns and muzzleloaders may be used. Wallace Township is not included in the hunt. The county has been divided into two units known as 86A and 86B. The townships of Logan, Ellice, North Easthope, Ehna and Mornington are in 86A; Hibbert, Fullar- ton, Downie, South Easthope, and Blan- shard are in 86B. To participate in the hunt, all hunters must obtain a free validation tag and at- tach it to their deer license. One member of the immediate family who resides on the same property is also eligi- ble for a tag. Other Ontario residents who do not qualify as farmer/landowners must enter their name in a lottery -type draw. A total of 155 tags will be available in the draw; 85 in 86A and 70 in 86B.
