Manor residents limber up after weekend
Seaforth Manor residents started their
week with fun and fitness. This got
everyone limbered up after the weekend.
The afternoon was spent with some
gentlemen playing dominoes - a game the
men previously made. Some of the ladies
enjoyed browsing through the books on
Canada.
With the heat of the week the scheduled
outing to Goderich on Tuesday had to be
postponed. To keep busy residents had an
afternoon of Trivia and Word Games with
a theme of "Cities". Everyone did very
well !
Wednesday morning several ladies were
pampered by having their hair done. The
afternoon brought the monthly church
service led by Rev. Sadifer of Bethel Bi-
ble Church. Special thanks to Mr. and
Mrs. Lobb for sharing their musical
talents, and to Mrs. Norris, Mrs. Gar-
diner .and Mrs. McGonigle for their in-
spirational readings.
Gladys Van Egmond and Elgin Nott

Thursday afternoon. Special thanks to

Legion members off fay Ala
These nice hot humid summer days are
very nice but do not make much news for
publication. Other than 'a couple of
special happenings on the weekend there
is not much news around the Seaforth
Legion.
Some of its members have enjoyed
their holidays already with trips out west
and other spots around the country. Two
members and their wives are headed for
an Alaska cruise and other points west
this week.
As we mentioned last week the enter-
tainment for the Saturday. August 12 will
consist of WViliie, Marion and Steve, plus
of numbers. This was really enjoyed by
all.
July Birthdays included: Alice Boyes,
Anne Henderson, Harold Walsh, George
Fox, Wilma Brill, Cassie Nicholson and
Mabel Handy. Mabel had several of her
great-grandchildren at the party. Special
thanks also to Viola Lawson, Doreen Kel-
ly and Rose Altman for assisting.
Get Well Wishes are extended to Mae
Watterworth, Mel Hulley, Joe Hugill and
Andrew Kirkconnell.

A Seaforth area man has been given per
mission to approach Logan Township
residents about garbage collection.
Warren Bennewies of RR 5 Seaforth was
present at the July 17 council meeting of the
township, to follow up on his request to col-
lect the garbage of ratepayers who so desire
it. Council gave him its permission to pro-
vide this service; but requested that Mr.
Bennewies recycle as much material as
possible and comply with the directions of
the sanitary landfill attendant.
The service costs the township nothing,
and Mr. Bennewies bills those wishing to use
it. He already services residents in
McKillop and Tuckersmith township.
