area for placing first: with their piano.duetat
the Canadian Music League Festival at Kit-
chener•s Bingeman Park on the weekend.
The girls were recognized for placing first
in the piano duet for the third consecutive
year.

marks in his Grade 2 rudiments examina-
tions at the Royal Conservatory of Music of
Toronto. His brother David followed close
behind with 96 marks. Andrew and David
are students of Carol Carter.

Taralee Ann McKelvie and Carl Allan Mc-
Callum were united in marriage on July 8,
1989 at Duff's United Church, Walton by
Reverend Bonnie Lamble. The bride is the
daughter of Roy, and Nancy Machan of
Walton, and the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harold McCallum of RR 1 Walton.
Maid of honor was Cindy McKelvie, of
Walton, and bridesmaids were Tammy
Machan of Walton, Jamie Laskis of
Caledon, Jackie Morrow of RR 4 Walton,
and Sue Arthur of RR 4 Walton. Junior
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Arthur of RR 4
Walton and Janice McCallum. of RR 1
Walton. Groomsman was Paul McCallum of
RR 1 Walton, and ushers were Steven
Machan of Walton, John Braecker of RR 4
Walton, Joe Arthur of RR 4 Walton and Gary
Gagnier of RR 4 Walton. Flowergirl was
Marcy DeGroof of Egmondville, and
ringbearer was Kenny McCallum of RR 1
Walton. Organist was Jayne Delaney and
soloists were Jayne and Lucille Delaney of
Dublin. Cullen McCallum' of RR 1 Walton
gave a reading. The reception was held at
the Seaforth and District Community Cen-
tres and was followed by the couple's trip to
the Dominican Republic. The McCallums

CLARENCE RYAN
Clarence Ignatius Ryan of St. Columban
died Sunday, July 9, 1989 at the Seaforth
Community Hospital. He was 72.
Mr. Ryan is survived by his wife the
former Cecilia Eckert, daughter Margaret
(Mrs. J.D. Macrae) of London, Laura (Mrs.
Les Ward) of Kitchener, Patricia (Mrs.
James Subject) of Kitchener, Donald and
his wife Brenda of London, Helen (Mrs.
John Warren) of Moose Jaw Sask., Gerry
and his wife Karen of RR 1 Dublin, Louise of
Kitchener, Mary Jo (Mrs. John Nelson) of
Lucknow, Mark at home and his friend Deb
Core. Special grandfather to 19 grand-
children. Dear brotherofZack and Frank of
Seaforth, Leo of Kitchener, Earl of London,
Mrs. Anne McEachen of Park Hill, and Rita
(Mrs. Russell Smith) of Dublin.
Mr. Ryan was predeceased by one sister
Laura, one brother Joseph and his parents
Thomas Ryan and Catherine Mcllhargey.
The family will receive friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth un-
til Wednesday at 11 AM when Mass of the
Christian Burial will be held at the St. Col-
umban Roman Catholic Church, St. Colum -
ban. Interment St. Columban Cemetery.
Parish prayers will be held at the Funeral
Home Tuesday evening at 9 p.m.

REID - Robert and Liz (nee Klaver) are
pleased to announce the safe arrival of their
first child, a son, Mackenzie Robert,
weighing seven pounds 15 ounces. He was
born at Stratford General Hospital at 7:10
p.m. on July 1. Proud grandparents.are Her-

Edna Reid of Blyth. Great grandparents are
Les and Hazel Reid of Londesboro and Clara
Lightfoot of Clinton.
BLAKE - Mike and Mary are happy to

Michael, weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz., on July 5,
1989 at Seaforth Community Hospital. He
is a little brother for Ashley. Proud
grandparents are John and Irene Blake,
Brussels and Russel and Rita Smith,
Dublin.

born June 29, 1989 at St. Joseph Hospital,
London. He is a little brother for Tanya and

WALLACE - Richard and Lynda wish to an-
nounce the birth of their second son
Christopher Richard, born June 25, 1989 at
St. Joseph's Hospital, London. He weighed
seven pounds, five ounces. Christopher is a
new brother for Jennifer and Gregory, and a
new grandson for Ron and Betty Boyce of
RR 1 St. Pauls and Joyce Wallace of RR 4
