NOTICE OF APPLICATION
By The Corporation of the Town of Seaforth for approval of the construction of cer-
tain Sewage Works and the issuance of debentures as set out below and for approval
of the enactment of a proposed By-law imposing a Sewer Rate.
1 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Seaforth intends
to apply to The Ontario Municipal Board for approval of:
(a) The construction of Sewage Works as described in Schedule 'A' annexed hereto
at an estimated cost of 62,365,000. After allowing for a Provincial Government grant
of 81,765,000, the sum of 6600,000 shall be raised by the sale of debentures payable
over a period not exceeding ten years upon the owners or occupants of lands who
use sewage works.
(b) The passing of a proposed by-law to impose such sewer rate to raise a part of the
annual payments on such debentures, consisting of a surcharge up to 1366/6 on
the monthly water bilL
2. The following is an example of the annual charge on an average dwelling:
Proposed Sewer Surcharge of 633.88
Rat water rate at 136% a 46.08
Present sewer surcharge
flat water rate of 8108.00 x 93.36/o 8100.80
TOTAL ANNUAL CHARGE 6146,88
3. There shall be no exemptions or partial exemptions to the rates proposed herein.
4. Any ratepayer may, within twenty-one days after the date of the publication or malting
of this notice, whichever is later, serve personally or by.Registered mall on the Clerk
of the Town of Seaforth, at the address given below, a notice in writing stating his
objection to the approval of the construction of said works or to the imposition of the
special rate, and the grounds of such objection and that If a public hearing Is held,
he or his representative will attend such hearing to support such objection.
5. The Ontario Municipal Board may approve of the construction of the said works and
the issuance of the said debentures, and the imposition of the said sewer rate, but
before doing so It may appoint a time and place for a public hearing when any objec-
tions will be considered, but notice of such hearing will be given only to those per-
sons who have given notice of objection as provided for above.

No losses in St. Columban soccer
SQUIRTS
The St. Columban Squirts blanked the
visiting Exeter 1 team in Dublin on
Thursday, June 29 by a score of '2-0.
Keegan Teichert and Jared Murray
both scored on penalty shots to lead the
squirts to the win. Goaltender Curtis
Murray stopped a breakaway late in the
game to claim the Squirts' fourth shutout
of the season.
The Squirts' next home game is Thurs-
day, July 6 in Dublin when Lucan III MOSQUITO
comes to town. Game time is 7 p.m. A couple of veteran coached in Joe
Visser and Dave Mclnally, and a group
of eager soccer players has the St. Col-
umban team dominating the Mosq. Divi-
sion of the Lucan and District Soccer
League.
The latest team to fall victim to the St.
Columban Mosq. was Bryanston by the
score of 7-1 on Tuesday, June 27 in St.
Columban. Mike Hugill scored twice in
this contest while Mark O'Rourke, Greg
Van Bakel, Dave Middegaal, Boyd

Mark Van Dooren scored on a penalty
shot to salvage a 1-1 tie when the St. Col-
umban Atom I's travelled to Arva on
Monday, June 26. Atom I team members
are Jeff Van Bakel, Gary Van Bakel,
Charles Robertson, Pat Coyne, Jared
Munroe, Scott Van Dooren, Mark Van
Dooren, Brandon Nash, Joey Staples,
Chris Verberne, Dan Cronin, Matt Cronin,
Jeff Van Loon and Jamie Dick. St. Col -
Bend in Grand Bend on Tuesday, June
27.
The win avenged an earlier loss to
Grand Bend as the St. Columban Pee
Wees have been hard pressed lately to
play consistently for two full halfs.
Wayne Schoonderweord. and Steve
Bicknell each fired hat tricks while Jeff
Flanagan tallied twice. Jeff Ryan was in
top form in • goal for St. Columban as
were fullbacks Mike Devereaux and Steve
Vanden Bengal.
UNDER 17
Goaltender Brian Melady had his
busiest game of the season when the St.
Comumban (under 17) travelled to -Grand
Bend on Monday June 26 and squeaked
out a close 3-2 win.
Melady stopped many close -in shots
and a breakaway to preserve the win.
The defensive trio of Mike Murray,
Craig Murray and Jim O'Reilly were
again at their best in keeping a very fast
and determined Grand Bend team from
scoring more goals. -

ban with Jason Cooper adding another.

K.K.K. lost with a ,score of 25-15 for
McNichol.
The late game of the evening had lots
of excitement. McNichol was victor over
the Queens by a score of 9 -3. Hitting
doubles for the winners were Dianne
Anderson and Bonnie Johnston, and
Karen Wettlaufer hit a triple.
The "Staffen" sisters had luck in their
pockets this evening. Carol Barry made a
double play while sister Judy Scarrow
drove on 2 runs in the bottom of the
sixth. The Queens bats just weren't
strong enough, despite a triple hit by
Judy Mason.
Next week will see McNichol vs.
K.K.K. (6:45) and Ken Smith vs. Queens
