school gym.

for a new job at Sointh Huron District High
School.

SENIOKS MEETING
Eighteen members:and one visitor attend-
ed the Three 1: inks Seniors June meeting,
chaired by the president, Evelyn Flynn.
Dorothy 'Mickle .presided at the piano. All
were reminded they are responsible for the
September 20 birthday party at Huron -
view. A new treasurer's book is to be
purchasedsfHostesses-for'the euchre'were
.Evelyn -Flynn and Gladys :Coleman:- Prize
winners -were ladies high, Nellie Riley,
low Sadie Hoy. Men's high Stewart
Blackwell, low Pearl Taylor. Lone hands
Dorothy Mickle. Lucky cup at the lunch
which followed Pearl Taylor.
-The next meeting, a potlucksupper at 6:30
p.m. on -September 12.
After;being.postmaster in .Hensall for the
past .four years, Brenda Russell will be
postmasterin Clinton, 'effective •auly 1.
"I'll:miss the people in 'Hensel, but .am
confident the public will continue to be
well served by.the staff. I wish the staff
all the. goodwill and cooperation, that has
been -shown .to me .over the .past years."

'FIGURE' SKATING
"The :Hensall Figure Skating Club ran a
food booth:at theliensall Spring Fair and
were able to raise;$815.97. This money 'will
be a , ,t help next•season tgoffset costs.

11ENSALL PLAYGROUND
.ne still interested in registering their
chuuren+for.Hensall Playground may. do so
by dropping in at the Village Offices.
A large number.ofHensall residents were
part of a large group from Nabisco in Ex-
eter who spent Saturday at Canada's
Wonderland. Some of those attending were
Bev Bell and family, Ron Hartman and
family, Donnie Reid and family Debbie
Brock and family and Marion Goldsworthy
andfamily, all of Hensall. A total of 108 peo-
ple 'travelled to Toronto on two Air,'condi-
tioned buses and spent the ,day splashing
andwhirling their way around the park. Boy
was it hot. After a stop at McDonald's in
Cambridge the bus returned to Exeter.
Thanks to Nabisco, for helping fund.the trip
and a special thanks to Jane for all of her
hard work.
Although there were only four teams par-
ticipating this year in the 'Hensall
Kinsmen's Workboot Olympics every one
:played hard. 'The,.teams•vfed forpointssin
events such as nail hatnmering,.,briek, pil-
ing, bale tossing and wheelbarrow racing.
After the dust was settled the winners were
the Willert Connection many of whom are
from"Hensall.
The .Hensall library was overflowing
recently when they held their storyhour
wrap-up party for all of the children who
had participated this year. "The 25 children
plus their .parents and tiny . brothers .and
sisters enjoyed songs, games and .a .pic-
nic. A .presentation" was made to Janis
Bisback for all of her help to the kids.
Storyhour •will resume in September.

CHURCH

The choir sang the anthem Anywhere
With Jesus, Rev. Gaskin's .sermon was
entitled -the .Christ of God. Berstressed
•what :it means to really • know who •you
are: Encouraged us to use an ongoing
dialogue .with people around you and for
dialogue ,with yourself.
'The service was very interesting and in-
formative.. One announcement of %interest is
on -Thursday ;of this week there is to.be the
induction of Rev. Carolyn McAvay at
Brussels.
