'FIGURE' SKATING "The :Hensall Figure Skating Club ran a food booth:at theliensall Spring Fair and were able to raise;$815.97. This money 'will be a , ,t help next•season tgoffset costs. Thanks 1 . everyone who worked so hard at ti avow. 11ENSALL PLAYGROUND .ne still interested in registering their chuuren+for.Hensall Playground may. do so by dropping in at the Village Offices. A large number.ofHensall residents were part of a large group from Nabisco in Ex- eter who spent Saturday at Canada's Wonderland. Some of those attending were Bev Bell and family, Ron Hartman and family, Donnie Reid and family Debbie Brock and family and Marion Goldsworthy andfamily, all of Hensall. A total of 108 peo- ple 'travelled to Toronto on two Air,'condi- tioned buses and spent the ,day splashing andwhirling their way around the park. Boy was it hot. After a stop at McDonald's in Cambridge the bus returned to Exeter. Thanks to Nabisco, for helping fund.the trip and a special thanks to Jane for all of her hard work. Although there were only four teams par- ticipating this year in the 'Hensall Kinsmen's Workboot Olympics every one :played hard. 'The,.teams•vfed forpointssin events such as nail hatnmering,.,briek, pil- ing, bale tossing and wheelbarrow racing. After the dust was settled the winners were the Willert Connection many of whom are from"Hensall. The .Hensall library was overflowing recently when they held their storyhour wrap-up party for all of the children who had participated this year. "The 25 children plus their .parents and tiny . brothers .and sisters enjoyed songs, games and .a .pic- nic. A .presentation" was made to Janis Bisback for all of her help to the kids.
