FASHION DESIGNERS - Students in the Seaforth District High
School's WOW (Work Orientation Workshop) program spent last
Thursday putting to work some of the finer points of t -shirt pain-
ting as taught to them by Anne Robinson. The WOW program
began Thursday and will run until July 5, at which point par-
ticipEding students will be placed in various work environments in
the area. WOW attempts to teach students marketable skills, then

Queensway resi
Queensway residents have been enjoying
sitting outdoors Monday morning with their
new volunteer Joyce Bowman. Several are
also benefitting from visitation with the
Auxiliary ladies.
Reverend Stojokovic led the worship
Tuesday afternoon with his wife Jill as
pianist. Miss Perrin, ONHA surveyor spoke
to guests including several of the volunteers
at Tuesday's Accreditation luncheon. The
volunteers were commended for their active
involvement at Queensway.
Fun and Fitness started the day Wednes-
day morning with everyone stretching the
kinks out.
Thursday Geri Fashions set up shop in the
Activity room and many people took advan-
tage of the wide variety of styles and sizes to
do some serious shopping. There was a love-
ly fashion show in the afternoon and models
were Myrtle Rodd, Mildred Gingerich,
Lloyd McDougall, Murray Howe, Grace
Dinney and Muriel Gunning. The evening
movie was a National Geographic Urn on'
"The Great Whales".'
Thank you tb the Hensall Public School for
the three beautiful bouquets of flowers they
del"rered Friday afternoon.
The saying "Many hands make light
work" certainly held true Friday when
some residents gathered and helped nib
strawberries for the Strawberry Social,
Saturday afternoon. Thank you to George
Mathonia and Nelson Howe for providing
music and the Mennonite ladies for serving,
also to all the other helpers who made the
day a success. All proceeds will go to
Alzheimer's research. The winners of the
raffle were, Baby Quilt, Joanne Wallace,
Baby Comforter, Aline Dayman, and the
Floral Arrangement to Esther Desjardine. at 2:30 pm. the Birthday Party, July 7 at at 2:30 p.m. International Day featuring
