residents take
pies in face
The aroma of hot dogs and hamh"rgers
lingered around last Monday as rt >.dents
enjoyed their first barbecue of summer.
In the afternoon several residents wr
involved in pillow making. The initial
stage of the craft is cutting or ripping
foam, which was eagerly done.
Tuesday morning residents and Gr 6T

farewell after a year of spending Tuesday

In the afternoon residents played Bingo
with Eva McCartney the caller. Big win-
ners included: Dennis Arney, Bert
Deichert, Marg Smale, Maria Goovaerts,
Cassie Nicholson, Keitl, Herman, Jenny
Hildebrand, Laurence Ryan (guest 1,
Irene Ormand, Ila Gardner and Andrew
Kirkconnell. Thanks also to volunteer
Mary Nolan who assisted residents with
their cards.
Wednesday afternoon Rev. Sadlier led
the weekly church service. Special thanks

Thursday brought about the manors
first "Pies for Alzheimers" event. The

Canadian Tire under new ownership
Seaforth Canadian Tire is under new
ownership.
Kevin Shay, a 17 -year veteran of the Cana-
dian Tire corporation, purchased the
from former owners Roger an
Adams as his first Canadian Tire flue.
Mr. Shay left the general manager's pe

I've always wanted," says Mr. Shay.

Seaforth Mayor Hazel Hildebrand has
been served a summons to appear before
the Courthouse Square Court on Friday,
July 7, 1989 at,3:52 p.m. She is charged
with excessive promotion of the Town of
Seaforth.
Mayor Hildebrand will be represented
by "Court" appointed legal counsel to
assist her in pleading her case, but the
chances are she will be convicted. Bail has
been tentatively set at $125.

A move from Toronto to Seaforth is a pret-
ty drastic change, but Mr. Shay grew up in
the town of Peescott which has a population
of 4,800. "So I'm happy to be back in a small
town," he says.
"I think we're going to enjoy Seaforth.
The store is really nice -we're proud of the
store and the staff. We're going to put a lot
into Seaforth," says Mr. Shay. "We're look-
ing forward to working with the
community."

post bail when she appears before the
presiding judge, she will be compelled to
enter Jail and will be at the mercy of the
general public at Courthouse Square, and
the listeners of local radio stations and the
viewing audience of local television sta-
tions, to pay the $125 for her release.
Failure to appear will result in the
automatic doubling of this amount, with an
all points bulletin issued for her apprehen-
sion for the purpose of collecting this bail.
Mayor Hildebrand is encouraged to have
friends, business associates and relatives
in attendance .when she appears at the
Court House Square. Additional pledges
will also be accepted, to either bail her out,
or extend her stay in jail. Cash, personal
cheque, VISA or Mastercard are accepted ,
forms of payments, and Mayor Hildebrand
will be responsible for collecting her own
pledges and delivering them to the
"Court" at the time of her appearance.,
All bail money collected becomes the
property of the Huron County Crime Stop-
pers reward program. Tax receipts will be
issued for all donations of $l0 and over.
