Seaforth Manor residents enjoy youth program
The week at the Manor began with
entertainment from Northside United
Church. The young children of the church
presented a program called "Sharing and
Caring". The many props used aided in
the storyline singing and it was par-
ticularly nice having the children come
into the audience.
Some special treats included Jessica on
the violin, Angie on the piano and of
course the "Brothers 3" singing "Can you
take it back and change it for a boy".
Special thanks to Thehna Body, Audrey
McDwain and Marg Whitmore and to all
the ladies who prepared the tasty fruit
bread and cheese. It was enjoyed by all!
Tuesday brought public school students
in for their weekly visits. In the after-
noon
fternoon there was a bingo with local caller
Pat Ryan. Big winners were: Dennis
Arney, Doris Smith, Cassie Nicholson,
Keith Herman, Kathryn Waltham, Marg
Smale, Jenny Hildebrand, Bert Deichert,
Mamie Ross, Frank Smale, Ila Gardner
and Maria Goovaerts.
Wednesday morning some ladies had
their hair done. Then in the afternoon
there were three tables of social euchre.
Thursday afternoon Rev. Greg Gilson
led the weekly church service. Everyone
enjoyed the singing!!
Friday brought about the annual
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
Twenty-nine of the volunteers enjoyed–a
delicious hutch prepared by the kitchen.
Thanks again to all of the volunteers for
all the good they do. Anyone interested in
becoming a volunteer please call 527.0030
anytime and ask for Sue.
Please join - us for a Strawberry Social
on Saturday, June 17 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Thought of the Week: It is one off the
most beautiful compensations of this life
that no person can sincerely try to help
another without helping themselves.
