The Harmony Hi -Cites celebrated their fifth birthday last week, and were visited by 100 members of varioiis Harmony incorporated and Sweet Adeline chapters. First the Legion Ladies Auxiliary held one of its Sunday suppers which have proved quite popular in the last few years. The Ladies will hold another Sun- day supper on July 9. There was also a Zone information seminar held in Wingham. Eleven members from the Branch and Auxiliary attended. These seminars have been held once a year for the last few years and have proved quite popular and informative to the Branch chairman. It is hoped more of Seaforth's members will avail themselves of the knowledge these meetings provide. A meeting of the Drumhead committee will be held on June 20 at 7 p.m. to finalize the plans for the Drumhead ser- vice which is to be held on July 1. Members please remember this date. On June 24 there is a track and field meet being held in Kincardine, sponsored by the District. Track and field chairman Errol Skillender is hoping to have entries from the local schools competing. Father Hardy as celebrant, and gave a short homily and welcomed the Knights. Following the church service the members, wives and friends joined for breakfast in the Father Stephen Eckert Council rooms. Bro. Ron Ryan and assistants catered for a smorgasbord breakfast. The Dan Egan 4th degree Assembly of Seaforth and Area, formed an honour guard and matched into the church to assist in the service and receive Holy Communion. Bro. Roy Swart, Church Activity Chairman, introduced the guest speaker, Fr. Gary Goyeau followed by the head table guests which included Council Chaplain, Fr. Caruana, Fr. Hardy, Frank Crowley, Grand Knight and wife, District Deputy and wife Mrs. Morley Leeking and Fr. Goyeau, guest speaker. A special feature at the closing of the occasion was the presentation of long ser- vice certificates to members of the council. Bike/Walk-athon . set for June 25 The Seaforth Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society will hold its annual Bike and Walk-a-thon on Sunday, June 25. The bike ride begins at 1 p.m. and the walk at 2 p.m., both starting at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Maps and pledge sheets are available from Lyons Foodmarket, ID Bank, Bob and Betty's, SDHS, Seaforth Public School and St. James Separate School. P.S.
