Lakeside drew to within two, with a run in the seventh, but Seaforth broke the game wide open with nine runs in the eighth inning to slake the final score 17 to 6. Ray Anstett had a bad night on the mound for the Merchants. He pitched the first inn- ing, gave up five runs on five walks and no hits, and struck out no batters. Scott Driscoll went in for seven innlngs, and gave up only one run on five hits. He walked two batters and struck out three. The final reliever was Darryl O'Connell who pitched for one inning, and allowed no runs on no hits. He walked three batters and struck out one. "This was a good game for us," com- mented coach Marc Robinet. "We were down early in the game and we pecked away, finally took the lead, and never looked back. The guys never got down. They stayed up and it showed when we batted. It also showed on defense, know- ing we coulnd't afford to give up any more runs. I still think we can swing the bat a lit- tle better, and with the number of games coming up this month, I'm confident we will get it together."
