HOSPI FAL YARD SALE PROCEEDS were officially handed over to the Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital Fundraising committee on Monday morning. The event, co-sponsored
by staff of the hospital's Physiotherapy and Pharmacy departments, raised in excess of
$3,500 for the hospital expansion. Making the presentation to Fundraising chairman
Marlen Vincent, was Yvette Binnendyk of Pharmacy. Also on hand, were, left, Carol
Bowker, Physiotherapy, Don Smith, Chief Executive Officer, and right, Carol Hunt,

William Van den Hengel will graduate this
week as a Bachelor of Engineering -Science
from the University of Western Ontario. A
graduate of SDHS, he is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Van den Hengel, RR 5 Seaforth.
Miss Jean Hillen graduates from UWO,
London, this week. A daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Stanley Hillen, RR 2 Walton, she
specialized in French, and will teach in
Tillsonburg next term. She is a graduate of
SD}IS.
Gregor McGregor, long time member of
and Past Master of Brucefield Lodge IOOF
No. 210, was honored Thursday when he was
presented with a 45 -year jewel at a meeting
of the lodge.

College Hospital in Toronto. A sister for

MOATS - Barbara (nee Kerslake) and
Wayne, are pleased to announce the birth of
their second child, a daughter, Leah Amber-
ly, born Monday, May 8, 1989 at St. Joseph's
Health Centre in London, and weighing 8
lbs., 9 ozs. A baby sister for Neil.
HOLMES - Jack, Janette, Ashley and Cody
are thrilled to announce the arrival of Brett,,,
Michael, who weighed in at 7 lbs., 8 ozs at
the Stratford General Hospital on May 16,
1989. Proud grandparents are Keith and
Marjorie Rock, Ron and June Foran and
Grant Holmes. Great grandparents are
Clara Rinn and Harold Baecklar.
COOK - Bob and Connie are pleased to an-
nounce the safe arrival of. a 51b., 12 oz. baby
girl, Hollie Marie, on May 5 at the
Mississauga General Hospital. Proud
grandparents are Bill and Marie Coutts of
Walton.

Douglas Wright of Kanata, spent the
weekend visiting his mother Mrs. Gladys
Wright, on John Street in Seaforth.
On Saturday Mrs. Gladys Wright and
son Douglas called at the Watt Funeral
Home in Brussels to pay their respects to
the late Mrs. Secord (Marg) McBrien
who passed away at the Callander Nurs-
ing Home on Thursday. The funeral was
Saturday, May 27 at 2 pm.
On Saturday, May 27 Mrs. Gladys
Wright and son Douglas were in Hanover,
attending a birthday party in honor of
Janet Schneider, who celebrated her. 70th
birthday. Her son Darrell and daughter-
in-law Lynda and grandchildren put on a
surprise dinner and dance for their
mother's birthday,
On Saturday evening Norma Steele was
hostess to her„ niece, Linda Leeming,
bride -elect, and to Mrs. Ken Daum, and
to Mrs. L. McTavish, from Stratford.
Also, friends from Mitchell, Goderich,
Crediton, and Seaforth were present.
