track meet
The Grades 4 to 8 students at Seaforth
Public School held their annual school
track meet on Thursday. Students were
divided into four teams, and each athlete
was awarded points for placing in events
which included sprints, the long jump, the
high jump, shotput, ball throw etc„ and the
points went toward their team.
The following students got the most
points for their teams:
Senior boys: First was Matt McNichol
with 46 points, and second was Jeremy
Somerville.
Senior girls: First were Meagan
Alkemade and Shelly Lansink with 40
points each, and second was Morgan
Murray.
Intermediate boys: Jamie McNichol
took first place with 74 points and second
spot went to Michael Hnglll.
Intermediate girls: Vicki Lansink won
first spot with 68 points and Marcy McCall
was second.
Junior boys: Steve Mclnally took first
with 78 points, while Shawn Anstett placed
second.
Junior girls: Klin Elliot won with 4'
points, and Jennifer Duey placed second.
Midget boys: Jeremy McNichol was th,
high point -getter with 50 points whit
Grant Ward was second.
Midget girls: The most athletic midg
girl was Christy • Leonhardt who wor
points, and the runner-up was Sarah
