The members of the Seaforth Ladies' and
Mens Lawn Bowling Clubs met at the home
of Fred and Betty Tilley on Wednesday,

The ladies held a cleaning bee last Thurs-

busy cutting and preparing the greens and
weather permitting lawn bowling will now
be in full swing.
To start the beginning of the club's 60th

delicious dinner.
Edna Bell brought greetings on behalf of
the ladies and also read some memoirs of
Lawn Bowling written by Frank Sills, a
former member of the Seaforth merits club.
Frank came from a lawn bowling family
and his parents, grandmother and late wife,
in addition to himself were all keen bowlers.
Following are Frank's comments -
"Over the years lawn bowling has been an
integral part of sports in our community. It
is not only a sport, but a great addition to the
social life of everyone who has narticip tori -
mixing all strata of society and provrtung a
great deal of fun and amusement, as well -as
giving much needed physical activity that
helps both mind and body.
Some people become more skilled in the
art of lawn bowling than others, and this
gives them a great . deal of satisfaction.
Nevertheless, this is not the most important
aspect of the game.

help to prolong the life of the facilities, so
they can continue to provide quality service

"In keeping with the long-term health
care directions this government articulated
in the recent Throne Speech, I wish to note
that these projects will greatly enhance the
health and lifestyle choices of all On-
tarians," added Jack Riddell, MPP for
Huron.
"Recreation is a key to wellness and an
