The response from the Director of Educa-
tion Bob Allan was that more specific infor-
mation is needed than 'was given by politi-
cians in the throne speech, and administra-
tion will have more information available
for the next board meeting. He noted also
that the board is on the record before the
Ministry of Education as earlier having
taken a position against junior
kindergarten
SPECIAL PROJECTS
At its 1989 budget meeting last month
trustees charged board administration with
prioritizing special projects to allow for ex-
penditures of $500,000 rather than a propos-
ed $701,000.
The board passed the new proposal by ad-
ministration, which utilizes $500,000 to
purchase.
Technological studies equipment -$85,000.
Central Huron Secondary School
revitalization - $100,000. This is the full
amount originally proposed. "We simply
saw this as a priority item that we could not
tamper with," said Director Bob Allan. This
has been discussed since the spring of 1986.
Included in the revitalization plans are the
athletic field, rear parking lot, front drive,
visitor parking, bus loading, window
replacement, visual arts studio, painting
and redecorating.
Asphalt, paving and drainage projects
lost $50,000, but retain $50,000 for 1989 works.
An annual cycle for a continuous contribu-
tion to this work was discussed. Priorities in
1989 include Huron Centennial, a portion of
Robertson MPS, and SPS.
Business studies equipment replacement
was cut from $30,000 to $10,000.
Computers for offices and libraries pro-
posed at $33,000 were completely dropped,
but can be purchased if necessary from
capital allocations. $40,000 for elementary
classroom computers was left, and will pro-
vide one computer per 200 elementary
pupils.
Education centre projects were put on
hold, and only $4,000 of the proposed $29,000
was kept in the special projects budget.
Science lab renovations - $20,000; formula
budget additions (textbooks and transporta-
tion r - $47,000; music equipment $10,000:
pilot projects in electronic music $7;500; and
maintenance programs make up the
balance,
$20,000 for alarm systems was not made
available. But trustee Tony McQuail noted
that alarm systems save money in heat
Checks and insurance. in addition to allow-
ing the board "to be able to faster get on top
of a fire or an intruder,"
A motion was passed "that administration
proceed to put in alarms in a timely and cost
effective manner."

Your memory we treasure
We oft times think of you.
At our family get togethers,
The missing link is you
We talk and laugh and no one sees
The pain we grin and bear,
The heartache we all suffer.
When we see your empty chair,
But God who loves the world so much,
Gives hope to all mankind,
We will meet again in paradise.

The response from the Director of Educa-
tion Bob Allan was that more specific infor-
mation is needed than 'was given by politi-
cians in the throne speech, and administra-
tion will have more information available
for the next board meeting. He noted also
that the board is on the record before the
Ministry of Education as earlier having
taken a position against junior
kindergarten
SPECIAL PROJECTS
At its 1989 budget meeting last month
trustees charged board administration with
prioritizing special projects to allow for ex-
penditures of $500,000 rather than a propos-
ed $701,000.
The board passed the new proposal by ad-
ministration, which utilizes $500,000 to
purchase.
Technological studies equipment -$85,000.
Central Huron Secondary School
revitalization - $100,000. This is the full
amount originally proposed. "We simply
saw this as a priority item that we could not
tamper with," said Director Bob Allan. This
has been discussed since the spring of 1986.
Included in the revitalization plans are the
athletic field, rear parking lot, front drive,
visitor parking, bus loading, window
replacement, visual arts studio, painting
and redecorating.
Asphalt, paving and drainage projects
lost $50,000, but retain $50,000 for 1989 works.
An annual cycle for a continuous contribu-
tion to this work was discussed. Priorities in
1989 include Huron Centennial, a portion of
Robertson MPS, and SPS.
Business studies equipment replacement
was cut from $30,000 to $10,000.
Computers for offices and libraries pro-
posed at $33,000 were completely dropped,
but can be purchased if necessary from
capital allocations. $40,000 for elementary
classroom computers was left, and will pro-
vide one computer per 200 elementary
pupils.
Education centre projects were put on
hold, and only $4,000 of the proposed $29,000
was kept in the special projects budget.
Science lab renovations - $20,000; formula
budget additions (textbooks and transporta-
tion r - $47,000; music equipment $10,000:
pilot projects in electronic music $7;500; and
maintenance programs make up the
balance,
$20,000 for alarm systems was not made
available. But trustee Tony McQuail noted
that alarm systems save money in heat
Checks and insurance. in addition to allow-
ing the board "to be able to faster get on top
of a fire or an intruder,"
A motion was passed "that administration
proceed to put in alarms in a timely and cost
effective manner."

HUGILL
In loving memory of a clear husband. father
and grandfather, Leverne Hugttl Who passed
away fpur years ago, May 10, 1985
Your memory we treasure
We oft times think of you.
At our family get togethers,
The missing link is you
We talk and laugh and no one sees
The pain we grin and bear,
The heartache we all suffer.
When we see your empty chair,
But God who loves the world so much,
Gives hope to all mankind,
We will meet again in paradise.
When God makes all things new
Always remembered by wife Alma, children
