The Kids on the Block child abuse preven- tion program was presented to those in at- tendance. The program uses puppet skirts to teach elementary school children about physical and sexual' abuse. It tells children how 'to protect themselves when faced with an abusive situation. Tenders for the new hospital close May 19th. Plans to repeat the Victoria Day fireworks display, which was such a popular feature last year, are well advanced, accor- ding to John F. Scott.
