on April 25. I've had one birthday party at
"Mothers" in Stratford with my grand-
parents, but I'm having another party with
my other grandparents on Tuesday. My twin

Seaforth Legion votes in slate of officers
The regular monthly meeting was held
last Thursday evening with a little bit better
number of members in attendance. Zone
Commander Steve maquire and Zone Com-
mander elect John A. MacDonald'were both
guests for the election of Officers. The pro-
posed slate nominated last month was voted
in by acclamation and read as follows:

A .question was raised about the
whereabouts of a book called "The Forgot-
ten War" which was donated to the Branch
by John Melady, a few years ago. Anyone
knowing who might have borrowed the book
or if anyone has it in their possession would
they kindly return tt to the Branch.
A donation of $200 was made toward the
local Cancer Society and help in the form of
a sweater with "C4th and the Branch No,"
on it was given to Shawn Anstett for par-
ticipation in a summer hockey school.
Sick and visiting Chairman Henry Ziler
reported there were three Comrades in
hospital, Comrade Jack Walsh in Stratford,
Terry Johnston in London and Don Horne in
Seaforth. They are wished a. speedy'
recovery.
June 6 has been designated as Decoration
Day for this year of our 60th Anniversary.
All graves of deceased veterans will have a
Maple Leaf flag placed by the headstone in-
cluding those who are buried elsewhere and
have memorial markers,
At the going down of the sun and in the
morning we will remember them.
Seaforth youth finalist in Science Fair
Three Grade 8 students will travel to St.
John's, Newfoundland, in May, to repre-
sent Huron County at the Canada -wide
science fair.

Ethel, will represent Huron at the Canada -
wide fair to be held from May 13-21.
The trio were chosen after finishing in
the top positions in their respective
categories at the county fair, held at the
Clinton Legion last Saturday. The science
fair included schools from the Huron Coun-
ty Board of Education and Huron -Perth
Catholic Schools.
Manivan and Jason entered projects in
the Grade 8 physical category; Manivan's
science project is Crop Residue Coy' rage,
and Jason's is Speed versus Tire Size.
Manivan was also the recipient of a
Maitland Valley and Ausable-Bayfield
Conservation Award, along with Todd Har-
rison of Wingham P.S. for his project, Ef-
fects of Pollutants. Marc's project, An-
tacids, won in the Grade 8 biological
category.
Other award winners in the biological
class were: Jason Galloway, Brussels
P.S., Bean Seed Growth; and Ruth Ann
Baker, Brookside P.S. Calf Housing.
Jason Elliott of Blyth P.S. was the third
winner in the Grade 8 physical category
for his project on Crash, the Sound of
Money. Honorable mentions in this
category went to: Victoria Bisback, Hen -
sell P.S., Water Conservation in the,
Home; and John Soer, Zurich P.S., Truss
Bridge Construction.
The winners in the Grade 7 biological
class were: Shauna Hemingway,
Hohnesville P.S., Effects of Acid Rain on
Crops; Adam Agar, St. James in Seaforth,
Hydro and Crops; and Robert Thomson,
Robertson P.S., Cholesterol.
Awards in the Grade 7 physical category
were won by: Joel Siebert, Zurich P.S„ All
Stuck Up; Ian Jean, Mt. Carmel, Com-
parative Strength of Wood Building
Materials; and Tyler White and John
Baker of Holmesville P.S., Which Fabric
Reduces Sound the Most? .
In the final category, computers, the
winners were: Kevin Shillinglaw, Mullett
Central P.S., Computer Components;
David Morlock, Stephen Central P,S.,
Computer Quiaz: and Marc Steffin,
Wingham P.S.; Input Devices
