RYAN -FORD Margaret Rita Ryan and Paul Alexander Ford were married Saturday, April 22, 1989 in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Stratford, by Father John Sharp. The bride is the daughter of Ron and Mary Ryan of St. Columban and the groom is the son of David and Donna Ford of Mississauga. Maid of honor was Amy Muschik of Stratford, friend of the bride, and bridesmaids were Jennifer Stone of Straford and Dawn Switzer of Stratford, both friends of the bride. Best man was Ron Schneider of Stratford, friend of the groom, and guests were ushered by Brian Gartman of Stratford and Darrell Cahill of Stratford, also friends of the groom. Following a reception at the Festival'Inn, Stratford, the couple took a wedding trip to South Carolina. They will reside in Stratford. Frank Phillips photograph. Horticultural Society play' ,S LarkWhistle trip The Seaforth Horticultural Society met on Apri112 at Seaforth Public School. President Margaret De Jong welcomed everyone and expressed the shared sorrow of the Society at the death of long-time member Mary Chappel. Isabel Scott reported on the District 8 an- nual meeting hosted by the Kincardine and District Horticultural Society at Douglas Point on April 8. Plans were finalized for the Society's booth at the Home and Garden Show. Members will be asked to donate baking, preserves and efts for sale and new memberships will be available. Members are reminded to prepare their cuttings plants for the May plant sale. The Ontario Horticultural Convention will be held from June 21 to 23 at Sir Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. The program committee is planning a bus trip, ,in conjunction with the Hensall Hor- ticultural Society, to Larkwhistle, near Miller Lake. An early June date was discussed but the committee has since mov- ed the date to late.June or early July. Final details and a sign-up sheet will be available at the May meeting. Nancy Kale introduced guest speaker, Paul Webb of TheiBloomin' Bog near 'Mer- ton. Mr. Webb provided valuable informa- tion on starting a water garden and the dif- ferent kinds of water plants available. He also gave a brief talk on Orchids, and plants were available for sale. On May 10, the Society will tour the spring gardens of Jean Durst, Margaret DeJong, Gladys and Sandy Doig and Marj Phillips. Members are asked to carpool at Seaforth Public School at ,6:15 p.m. Following the tour, everyone will return to the school for lunch and a brief business meeting. The bride is the daughter of Les and Cathy Glanville of RR 4 Walton and the groom is the son of Harvey and Leola Hood of RR 2 Brussels. Matron of Honor was Kerri Stephenson of Sarnia, friend of the bride and .bridesmaids were Veronica Glanville of RR 4Walton, sisterof the bride and Carol Glan- ville of Seaforth, cousin of the bride. Best man was Steve Marks of London, friend of the groom and guests were ushered by Art Glanville of RR 4 Walton, uncle of the brick. and Robert Glanville of RR 4 Walton, cousin of the bride. MULLIN-CAMPBELL Sheila Wallace Mullin and John Gregor Campbell were married Wednesday, April 5, 1989 in Egmondville United Church by the Reverend Cheryl -Ann Stadelbauer-Sampa. The bride is the daughter of the late John William and Phyllis May Wallace of Sunderland, England and the groom is the son of Gordon and the late Glad Campbell of Guelph. Witnesses were Linda MacKay of London, Ontario and Pete Martene of Seaforth. Ringbearer was Michael Alex- ander Solomon Mullin of Seaforth. Follow- ing a reception at the Homsted House in Seaforth the couple took a wedding trip to San Francisco. They reside at 49 George Street East, Seaforth. Frank Phillips photograph. Seaforth Nappy Citizens host spring rally The Seaforth Happy Citizens hosted the spring rally for Zone 8 in the Seaforth Legion Hall on April 13. There were 14 clubs represented. Elmer Hayter chaired the meeting. Rev. Cheryl -Ann Stadelbauer-Sampa brought a message that just because we are older does not mean we have no value in the world. Mayor Hazel Hildebrand brought greetings from the Town of Seaforth. Reports were given by the Treasurer and Assistant Secretary and also by the nominating committee. . During the afternoon guest speaker Bruce McCall, of Brussels, entertained everyone with his talk.
