Thanks to all who bought tickets. Sympathy is extended to Leonard Noakes and family on the death of his youngest brother. Kenneth Noakes passed away at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burl- inggtton last Friday. Mr. Noakes leaves behftid eight children and 12 grandchildren. By the way, the air — LIONS DONATE TO HOSPITAL - Ernie Fleming, President of the Dublin Lions Club, ,resented $2,000 to Joan Stapleton, Dublin canvass captain, last week as part of a 4,000 two-year donation to the Seaforth Community Hospital. Stapleton, a member of the hospital board, said she's just finishing their village canvass. The Lions will con- tribute the remain ng $2,000 next year. Bader photo. Scouts to visit Wonderland real birds are back too and it's lovely to hear the Robins singing. Hensall Minor Hockey would like to thank everyone who worked so hard on the Year end Banquet and Family Dance. Also to all of the families involved in a successful season. HENSALL CUBS The Hensall Cubs will be taking part in Scouts Day Canada 89 at Canada's Wonderland June 2, 3 and 4. They will be camping there and enjoying a full day at the Theme Park as well as entertainment at the camp. The Cubs and Scouts were out on Saturday planting trees for Canada. If you sponsored them they will be around soon to collect, These trees serve a useful purpose in im- proving Ecology in our region by providing food and habitat for wildlife, reducing soil erosion and establishing windbreaks as well as providing a worthwhile training activity for Scouting members. Hensall Kinsmen are again planning a Moonwalk for Cystic Fibrosis. This year's date is May 28. Anyone interested in walking for this wor- thy charity contact Jeff Reaburn. Congratulations to Bonnie Rowcliffe on her election as Kinette Zone Co-ordinator. The Workboot Olympics *ill be held again this year. Anyone interested in competing can call Bill Jinks. Church was devoted to the theme that "love is the way to give glory to God." In the 13th chapter of John's Gospel Jesus described how love could occur, how the disciples were to show that love to one another, thereby continuing to obey Jesus after his departure. The members and friends of Carmel were also pleased to note that Kathy and Rev. Mark are now the proud parents of a baby boy. Oliver Thomas Bennett was born on Monday, April 17. The April 30 worship service will be con- ducted by. Rev. Charles Henderson at the usual time of 9:45 a.m. It is hoped that all who can will attend the 11:15 a.m. service at Caven Presbyterian, Exeter, to celebrate the baptism of Oiiver Gaskin. Also that evening the Torchmen will be in concert at the Carmel Church (83 Nelson Street, Hensall). Tickets are still available at the door for this entertaining evening of gospel music.
