Easter Morning
It was Easter morning. The mouse was
looking for the mews. Little Jimmy was
painting eggs and Sandy was making a
bouquet for her mother. But where is bun-

He jumped to town,

There once was a bunny named Fred.
Carrie Courtney's story shows some
signs of spring:
Spring Is Here
Spring is here,
I know, I know
A leaf just told me so.
Spring is here,
I know, I know,
A blade of grass just told me so
Spring is here,
I know, I know,
The sun just told me so.

Grade 6B is studying Japan in Social
Studies. They choose a topic, and then
choose a card under that topic.
In art they are working on wildlife
posters, which are judged by the Ministry
of Natural Resources.
The 6's are also working on Novel
Studies which include "three iii's" and
some of their own books. They read a novel
followed by an activity card which in-
volves plot, theme, setting, conflict,
characterization, vocabulary and creative
writing. After all of the activities are done
they have an evaluation with Mrs.
Ryckman and she gives them their overall
mark.
