Mrs. -Lindemann presented the Auxiliary 'with threebeautiful-dollles to be .donated to the :Gif6-Shop'for.Sale. Thanks Inga. Members reports. were :given and ac- 'cepted.`The Paddies Pie Sale•netted a total oi.$265. The President thanked JeanWilbee, Jane* Chuff and 'Frances Teatern forconven- ing a.,s project. A420 rlonatlon•wasmade to the Auxiliary on behalf of the Tuckersniith Ladies Club. Thanks Ladies. Sales in the Gift Shop for the month of March were $1,468. Linda Huard' requested that anyone having corsages made of artificial flowers :should bring them along to the next meeting, or if they wished to donate any .flowers they could contact her. Dorothy Hays reported a total of $1,444 in the Memorial Fund. Seventeen microwave cookbooks were sold at Lyons Food Market by the Ladies. Thank you Mr. Lyons. Alice Reid. -gave her report on the Building Committee for which she is the Liaison person for the Auxiliary. It is coming along on time. The Penny Sale will be held this month, from April 26 to May 5. with tha draw to he .0 iIiory pie sole nets $265 OSPITAL AUXILIATW by Frances Teatern 522-197' held on -Saturday, May 6. A van has been donated' for, the Auxiliaries use and will be located at the"Toronto-Dominion Bank cor- ner. Please tryto have all canvassing for the•sale in bythe end of•next week. Please contact Marg Smale for any further infor- mation. A letter'wasread from Yvonne Kit- chen, Director of VolunteerServices, thank- ing the SHA for its donations of new equip- ment. Ten membersfrom the auxiliary will be going to the Spring Conference in Exeter on Monday, April 24. A Yard Sale Memo was read to Members in conjunction with the Gigantic, Humongous Sale that staff from the 'Hospital are organizing for the May weekend, apecificallySaturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21. This event is being spon- sored by Purchasing, Maintenance and Houskeeping, Physiotherapy and the Phar- macy Departments. A breakfast will be held ,Lioness to host Sisterhood Night The April meeting of the Seaforth Lioness was held on Monday, April 10 at Gillette's. There were 17 members present, The minutes and treasurer's reports were read and approved. The pie sale on the Easter weekend, held at Lyon's Foodmart, was a great success. Thanks to all who made a purchase. There were invitations from Teeswater Lions Club, celebrating their anniversary with a dinner and dance on May 13; from the hospital, super spring lawn sale, proceeds for the hospital; and from the blood donor clinic in Clinton on May 9 from 1:30 to 4:30 and 6 to 8:30. The Vanastra Recreation Centre is needing money for a water slide, equipment and toys. A motion was made to send them $50. The Goderich Lioness are having their 5th anniversary on June 16. Lion Frank Hoffel sent some information about the Youth Ex- change. There will be more information to follow. A thank you was received from Lioness Mary Roweliffe. She is still up at the hospital. She is getting better by the day. The date is set for a night of interior decorating. Members will be working together with Hildebrand paint and paper as well as some others. The night is September 28, so mark your calendar. Members will have a booth at the Home and Garden Show on April 26 and 27 and will sell tickets on a gorgeous quilt. Hope to see you there. Don't forget to come out to Sisterhood Night tomorrow night (Thursday, April 20) at 7:30 pm. Admission is only $1. It will heat the Seaforth Public School. on the Saturday. All the proceeds will go to 'the 'Hospital Building Fund. If anyone has anyltemswhichtheywould like to donate to 'this sale please contact, Yvette Binnendyk, Mary Margaret Mash, Carol Hunt or Carol '1owk ,r at the hospital 5271650, May 12 will' be Hospital Day and a lun- eheonforvolunteers is being planned. It has been suggested the Gift Shop be opened dur- ing this thnr. Susan Dick and Marion Margaret Mennell attended the Recreation Seminar here in Town on 'behalf of the Auxiliary and will give theirreport at a future meeting. Alice Reid won the Mystery Price which was a floral arrangement donated by Beth Phillips. The Junior Volunteer Liaison Officer reported that the "AWARDS NITE - JUNIOR VOLUNTEERS", will take place on Tuesday, May 9,1989•atthe Parish Hall of St. Thomas Anglican Church on John Street beginning at 8 p.m. A presentation of pins, certificates and awards for outstanding ser- vice will be presented. A special speaker will be on hand for the volunteers Al' volunteers and their parents and grand- parents are invited to attend. Refreshment., will be served. Auxiliary Ladies please note that our meeting will take place before this award night and will start at 7:15 p.m. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN TIME. If you have any questions parents, please call F.R. There were two guest speakers from Al - Anon who were introduced by Marion Turn- bull They spoke on the program and the sup- port 'given to the families involved. The president, Mrs. Stuart Steven- son opened the meeting with a poem "I'm a • Dollar". Mrs. Jack Knight was leader and used the Easter service in the Glad Tidings. The several passages of Scripture were read in unison and also the response, • Members were responsible for something about, Africa or poverty which are the studies this year. Interesting current news on mission work were contributed and several items from the Glad Tidings. The roll call was "Easter" or "spring". A letter was read on Jamaica's low cost housing pro- jects. The allocation for 1989 was given and an invitation was received from Atwood for their May 3 meeting. The Fall Conference in October will be held in Knox Church, Cran- brook. The leader pronounced the Benedic- tion. A social time followed over coffe and sandwiches provided by Mrs. Murray Crawford and Mrs. D. Perrie. Mrs. J. Hart will be hostess for the May meeting. EUCHRE GAMES Eleven tables were in play at the Hall Board euchre on April 14.
