Last stag euchre held Wednesday at Legion
The last stag euchre for this season was
held last Wednesday with a good atten-
dance. The Branch would like to thank
Gwen Harburn for the good job of organiz-
ing these games and hopes she will be back
again in the fall. Monday night cribbage will
carry on until April 10 if warranted. The
darts players will be holding their final
night on April 22 when the player awards
will be given out.
We have a note from the 60th anniversary
committee stating there will be a steak
barbecue on Saturday, June 17, organized
by the fraternal members of the branch. We
will have more on that at a later date.
This corning weekend on Saturday, April
1, the Legion's annual Invitational bowling
will be held. Teams from as far away as
Toronto will be present plus the local teams

13:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. in Clinton and 12 and 3
p.m. in Seaforth. There will be a bus going to
and from Seaforth for the bowlers in
Clinton.
The Spring Zone meeting is being held in
Goderich on Sunday, April 2 at 2 p.m. in the
Legion Hall. Anyone wishing a ride please
contact President Mel Melanson. The
following weekend, April 8 and 9, the
District "C" Convention is being held in
Guelph. A van is scheduled to leave Seaforth -
Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. Anyone
wishing a ride please contact President Mel
or Jim Watson.
If any persons having borrowed walking
canes from the Legion, are not using them
now would you please return them to the
Legion. This would be appreciated very
much.
The Branch was sorry to hear of the death
of Mary Chapple, a long time member of the
Ladies Auxiliary. To her children we extend
our sympathies in the loss of their mother. A
memorial service was held Tuesday
evening.
At the going down of the sun and in the
morning we will remember them.

TIONAL SOFTBALL tonight and tomorrow
night from 7 to 9 p.m. each night at the
Seaforth and District Community Centres,
ADULT GOLF LESSONS will begin on
Thursday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Golf
Course. This will be an eight week program.
Registration fee is $40 which will include
tips on how to play the game, the rules and
the etiquette of golf.
All participants will be on the golf course
for the final two weeks of the program and
will be given a free green fee (value $10) to
use anytime during the summer. Registra-
tion will be held on the first night of classes.
