The meeting was open- ed and the pledge was recited. The roll call was about household products containing lanolin. Members watched a videotape of several news items about Eugene Bourgeouis who started the Philosopher's Wool Company. He sells 100 percent wool yarn with the natural oil and lanolin still remaining in it. This is especially good for people who work out-of-doors since the lanolin helps to repel water. The wool hasn't been exposed to numerous washings in harsh detergents which makes it softer and suitable for peo- ple who are sensitive to wool. After the video, members played a word relay game and worked on a crossword. For the remainder of the meeting they worked on their knitting projects. The meeting was closed and refreshments were served, The sixth meeting of the Nifty Knitters was held March 21, 1989 at McKercher's.
