The game was neck and neck with Amy Vanden Akker breaking the 3-3 tit with hist 11 seconds left in the game. The assist went to Jen Watt The girls now faced the tough hard hitting Stratford team. Stratford had beater Seaforth earlier on in the season, so the girl: knew they were in for a tough game, On Fri day. March 17 Stratford came to Seaforti and the game was underway. Starting tht girls off was no. 8 Lori Pewys who scores assisted by Tammy Nash and Jen Watt Seatorth was determined to beat the odd: and show everyone they could do it. With one game under their belt, the con- fidence grew and Seaforth members were. ready to play again. Stratford finally woke up and smelt the coffee as they scored at the 8:40 mark to get on the score board. The second period started oft with a power play line that wasted no time m scoring:. The goal was scored by No. 4 Amy Vanden Akker and assisted by No, 16 Tammy Nash. Stratford popped in another, but it was shortly follow- ed by a goal from Amy Vanden Akker assisted by Tracey Fortune. The Stratford team accounted for two quick goals to close up the lead at 4-3 Jenn Watt contributed the next goal assisted by Tammy Nash and Amy Vanden Akker on a power play. Tracey Fortune scored two quick ones, assisted by Tammy Nash, and Stratford accounted for only one more goal. The final goal was added by Cap- tain Jen Watt assisted by Lori Decays and Amy Vanden Akker, The final score was 9 to 5 for Seaforth. The girls received the Huron Perth Cham- pionship trophy. Special mention should go out to Shelly O'Brien, Seaforth's super goalie, who always came through when the girls needed her. Everyone played "mint" and added to the win.
