congregation of Hensel] United and to the
businesses and service groups in Hensall
who raised $2,335 for the Canadian
Foodgrains Bank. When added to the
C.I.D.A. grant it will become $9340 or 58

of Mozambique in Africa.
Christian Blind Mission International sent
thanks for the latest shipment of used
eyeglasses which are used for the vision im-
paired poor of the Third World.
Easter Services will be Maundy Thursday
Communion at 7:30 p.m. Easter Sunrise Ser-
vice and Breakfast at 7 a.m on Easter Sun-
day and SundayWorship at 11 a.m.
The Annual Beef Supper will be held this
year on April 12. Keep this date in mind. Ad-
vance tickets only.

Hensall United Church worshippers were
greeted by Peter Pryde. Mr. and Mrs. John
Madge were welcomed and transferred to
Hensall United from Exeter United Church.
Reverend Wright was assisted by ins pup-
pet "Fred" for the children's story about
how God is always ready to help when we
are in need. Joyce Pepper read the Old
Testament and Gospel lessons. The sermon
was taken from the Epistle Lesson "Argu-
ing with Paul". The choir sang "I'm Gonna
Sing" by Young and Ades.

sall on March 7 with a 437 followed by Em-

375. Shuffling every Tuesday at 1 p.m.
The Friendship Circle met in the
Fellowship hall of the United Church with
Shirley McAllister as chairperson for the
meeting. The guest speaker was Linda Reid,
R.N., from a Huron County Home Care.
Mary Brintnell shared a poem and Dorothy
Corbett gave the devotional based on The
Easter Story. Hostesses were Kay Mock and
Dianne Gerstenkorn. The next meeting will
be held April 3 at 8 p.m.

Elva Forrest opened the March meeting
of the Afternoon Ladies Group of Hensall
United Church. Sadie Hoy gave the devo-
tional on the theme of Gladness. Happiness
is a very personal thing - We feel happy if we
really want to be happy.
Elva continued the study of the black
women of South Africa. She told the story of
Buzzu whose husband had been killed, leav-
ing her to raise six children. She worked for
a white family in Johannesburg and sent
money to her other relatives back home who
took care of her children.
Following the treasurer's report, reading
of minutes and announcements, Elva
shared with the crowd her slides and
reminiscences of her trip to the Bahamas
with her husband Edison.
Muriel Richardson, Audrey Christie and
Olga Chipchase served a tasty lunch.
