The sermon was taken from the Epistle Lesson "Argu- ing with Paul". The choir sang "I'm Gonna Sing" by Young and Ades. John Thomson, Grant St John and Harold Parsons were ushers. Sadie Hoy gave the devo- tional on the theme of Gladness. Happiness is a very personal thing - We feel happy if we really want to be happy. Elva continued the study of the black women of South Africa. She told the story of Buzzu whose husband had been killed, leav- ing her to raise six children. She worked for a white family in Johannesburg and sent money to her other relatives back home who took care of her children. Following the treasurer's report, reading of minutes and announcements, Elva shared with the crowd her slides and reminiscences of her trip to the Bahamas with her husband Edison.
