:Centenaires wrcuF
• The Seaforth Centenaires last two games
of the season were good contests.
On Sunday afternoon in Seaforth the
Centenaires had only two lines of 'players,
but they jumped into a 4-0 lead over the
Lucan. Irish Six. Ray Murray shook the
twine twice, and Kevin McLlwain and Blair
Beuerman scored the other two. Brad Beut-
•tenmiller, Darren Akey, Tim Moore, Kevin
McElwain, Bruce Pearn (2), and Brad
Carter (2), assisted on the goals.
An Irish power play lit up Lucan's side of
the clock.at 2:17, and they scored.again in
.the.final seconds of the period to end it 4-2.
lathe second period Lucan picked up the
:tempo, started throwing some hits, and
capitalized on Seaforth's mistakes to the
.tune of .three goals -including one short-
handed goal. Seaforth was held scoreless in
the ,period, and Lucan emerged with a 5-4
lead.
Lucan was good for three more goals in
the third period, including another shor-
thanded goal. Ray Murray scored his third
goal of the game, assisted by Tim Moore, to
.make.the-final score 8-5 for Lucan.
-The goal was Murray's 44th of the season
and his 60th point, and it made .him the
Centenaires' highest scorer this season.
Both'Murray and Brad Carter should be in
the league's top 10 in the points race, and
Murray will, be among the topfive for goals
scored.
A five point night in Wellesley on Friday
put Murray in contention for the scoring ti-
tle. 'The Centenaires had only two .lines for
that matchup, so Murray got a lot of icetime
and came up -with three goals .and two
assists.
Murray started the scoring in the .first
period, assisted by Bruce Pearn and Steve
.Schroeder.The'Wellesley Apple.Jacksgot a

vanced to the Championship against
Strathroy. In the first period Seaforth went
ahead on a goal by Mike Weber from Brad
Moore. Strathroy came back to tie the score
in the second period at the 5:43 mark.
Seaforth went ahead again on a goal by
Mike Moylan from Matt McNichol.
Strathroy came back and tied the score at
the 8:05 mark of the third period with no
more scoring until the third overtime.
Strathroy scored at the 1:08 mark to win by
a 3-2•score.
Seaforth boys played a great game.
Seaforth goalie John Moylan received the
best goalie award of the tournament for the
B Division. John Moylan also received the
most valuable player award for Seaforth in
the Championship game.
op another rebuilding year
half minute of the period Brad Beutten-
miller brought Seaforth back to within a
goal of Wellesley, assisted by Murray and
BlairBeuermann.
With 7:51 to play in' the third period Mur-
ray, tied the game with a shorthanded goal,
assisted by Akey. Less than a minute later
Wellesley took the lead, but with 3:01 to play
point -man Akey picked up :the puck at the
Wellesley blue line, walked around three
Apple Jacks defenders and from a tough
angle slid a backhander past the goalie and
between the -posts to tie the game at six.
But' Wellesley had several goals left in
their club, and they got three before the
final -siren sounded, including one with.one
second*left to play.
The final score was 9-6 for Wellesley.
The Centenaires' season record is two
wins, 30 losses,. and four. ties.
In summing up the 1988-89 Centenaire
season, coach Graham Nesbitt said the
