Trinity Lutheran Church, Clifford, was the
setting for the welding of Mr. and Mrs. John
Edward Porter. The bride is the former
Marlene Caroline Brantigan, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Brantigan, Clifford,
and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
E.R. Porter, Zurieh. The Rev. H.J. Kritsch
performed the double -ring ceremony. Mrs.
Melvin Israel, Clifford, was organist. and
Gerald Buhoroin was soloist.
For her wedding, the bride choge a floor -
length gown of nylon net over taffeta
fashioned with lace bodice and lily -paint
sleeves trimmed with sequins. Her finger-
tip veil of silk illusion was held by a mat-
ching headdress and she carried a white Bi-
ble crested with red roses and lily of the
valley.
The bride's sisWr, Mrs. John Haley, Sud-
bury, was matron of honor, gowned in pink •
nylon net over taffeta with matching head-
dress. Miss Dale Brantigan, sister of the
bride, was bridesmaid..She chose a green
net over taffeta gown with bolero and mat-
ching headdress. Both attendants carried
nosegays of pink carnations and yellow
nuns. Flower girl was June Brantigan,
also a sister of the bride, dressed ilia yellow
net over taffeta and carrying a nosegay of
mums.
Kenneth Porter, Clinton, attended his
brother as best man. Keith Brantigan,
brother of the bride, ushered.
For the reception held at the town hall, the
bride's mother wore a grey printed nylon
ensemble with white accessories. The
groom's mother assisted in a grey linen em-
broidered dress, also with white ac-
cessories. Both wore corsages of red roses.
The bride changed to a beige suit with
white accessories and rose corsage for the
wedding trip t,o Niagara Falls and the
United States. The couple will reside near
Clinton.
