People travelling on the highways are in- creasing each month and the O.P.P. is com- mitted in doing everything possible to see that .the public arrives safely at its destination. Starting Friday, February 10, 1989 (and running for five weeks as a pilot project) the three O.P.P. Detachment Commanders in Huron County are initiating a selective en- forcement team consisting of three officers 1 one from each Detachment - Exeter, Goderich and Wingham! who will work together at various locations within Huron County enforcing the speed limit, seatbelt compliance and unsafe moving violations, which all have a factor in Motor Vehicle collisions. Hullett hires commissioner Hullett Township Council has hired Geoff King as its Drainage Commissioner for a probationary period of six months. His salary will he $8 per hour plus mileage. In other business Hullett council ap- pointed W.E. Kelly and Associates as Drainage Superintendent for the year 1989: instructed its Recreation Coordinator to advertise for the positions to be filled on the Ball committee of the township; and granted permission for Whyte Bros. Farms Ltd, to install a propane pump and dispenser for their own use on Lot 1, Conces- sion 5, subject to statutory regulations. It also closed the Court of Revision on the Greidanus Municipal Drain; requested the Road Superintendent to apply for final 1988 subsidy to the Ministry of Transportation; and named Joe Gibson as the joint represen- tative to the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority fir 'Hu Seaforth and McKillop.
