week ago with her daughter and son-in-law,
Frank and Louise Maloney in Kitchener.
Also with Katy this past week for a few days

Dublin were to Kitchener on Saturday to the
home of their brother Cyril and sister-in-law
Rose Marie to celebrate with Cyril his
birthday .
Dinner was enjoyed, after which they
went to the home of another brother, Joe
Murray in Waterloo, for a good game of
euchre, Jerry's niece Helen joined in the
card game, which continued until the wee
hours of the morning. Bonnie Murray had to
replace someone who played out in the
game, an unidentified person to this
reporter.
Eileen MacRae attended the surprise bir-
thday party for her cousin Anna O'Donnell
in Stratford on February' 7th. Anna had a
special birthday on January 25th s{, the par-
ty was very unexpected at Krebs
Restaurant. Gathering earlier for the occa-
sion were cousins Ann Francis, Mitchell;
Donna Gatenby, Kitchener; Marie
Sutherland, Woodstock; Joyce McKay,
Stratford and Anna's sister-in-law, Beatrice
Turner of Mitchell. Beth McEwin ( Anna's
sister) invited Anna out for lunch and to her
surprise, our gathering was there to wish
her a happy year.
She was presented with a silk flower table
centre arrangement from the group.
After dinner, we took off to Anna's new
apartment in Stratford for a social time and
enjoyed birthday cake from Dorothy's
Specialty Shop

ed the training school for 4-H leaders on.
Thursday February 2, at Huronview. This
club is "working with wool" and any boy or
girl 11 and over who is interested in taking
this club, contact Nancy or Brenda.
On January 19, 1989, Cranbrook Com-
munity Centre Hall Board held its annual
meeting. Minutes were read and financial
statement given by the secretary -treasurer.
Most of the renovations have been com-
pleted. The following are the board

In order to register for Kindergarten. children must be five (5) years of age
can or before December 31, 1989. Parents are asked to bring. Birth Certificate,
Baptismal Certificate and proof of immunization. It is advisable that parents
contact the school in which you intend to register your chlid for an appoint-
ment prior to the registration date.

CROMARTY CHURCH
The congregation of. Cromarty
Presbyterian Church held its annual
meeting on Sunday following the church ser-
vice and lunch. John Scott was chairman
with Ruth Laing was recording secretary.
The attendance was 22.
The annual reports showed a very suc-
cessful year with $2,778 having been sent to
Presbyterian. Sharmgs fthe Budget 1 and
$413.71 to Presbyterian World Service and
Development. 31.080 of the $2,000 allocation
was sent for the Building Fund of the
Presbyterian Retreat at Crieff Hills. A
piano' has been purchased for use in the
church auditorium. A tape - recorder was
purchased and the Sunday services taped
for anyone unable to attend.
The 'Sunday School enrollment has in-
creased this year to 26 pupils and an addi-
tional teacher is required. There are 10
children on the cradle roll. .
An allocation of $3,069 for Presbyterian
Sharings in 1989 was accepted by the
congregation.
Everyone is invited to the Induction Ser-
vice for the Rev. Lucie Milne on Wednesday,
February 15, at 8 p.m. Last year Mrs. Milne
was appointed by Stratford -Huron
Presbytery as a part-time minister at
Cromarty, and this year. .because of a
change in regulations, will be inducted as a
