home in Exeter on Saturday morning.
Mara% 23rd, Elizabeth Andrew, beloved
wife of Mr Richard Delbridge, aged 66
years. Mrs Delbridge was born at Tor-
rington, Devonshire, England, on May
13, 1840, and came to Canada with her
Mr parents, r and Mrs Geo Andrew, in
the spring of 1848, celebrating her eighth
birthday in raid ocean. They settled
near Centralia in June where they lived
for a few years when they moved to her
old home half a mile north of I'almville
She was married Deo. 31st, 1863, to her
now eorrowiug husband.

Not unexpected, but sad nevertheless
was the death of Bertha, youngest
daughter of Alf Asquith, of Auburn, on
the afternoon of Wednesday the 20th of
March, at the age of 15 years. In spite
of all that medical skill could do, death

Judgment has been given in the suit
vs the Trustees of S. S. No 6, Ashfield.
The teacher had been given notice to
quit only a few days before midsummer
holidays, but it seems the notice is held
not to be legal, and as a result the teach-
er is allowed wages up to the end of

trustees are advised to appeal the case,
but we understand the ratepayers are in
favor of settling rather than run up ex-
penses.

The small remaining band of Culross
pioneers was reduced by one on Thurs-
day, March 21at, by the death, in Tees -
water, of Mrs. Grenache, relict of the
late Joseph Grenache who died eighteen
years ago. Mrs. Grenache's maiden
name was Mary Ann Brown. She was
born at Lyn in 1828, and in 1849 was
married at Brockville. In 1855 she
with her husband came to Culross, then
a nearly unbroken wilderness, and
settled on the farm live miles west of
Teeswater, ever since known as Gren-
ache farm.

Mr, Runciman was somewhat of an
eccentric character and might almost
be called a hermit, never marrying and
prefarriug to live a solitary life, though
in conversation those who broke through
lets natural reserve found him a pleasant
person to talk with. He had been a re-
sident of Goderioh and vicinity for the
greater part of his life and the last few •
years had been employed at the organ .
