Youth for Christ hold Talent Night rally
South Huron Youth For Christ began 1989
with a Talent Night Rally January 7 at the
Brucefield Public School. The annual talent
night features a variety of local talent by
both the young and the "young at heart"
each year and this year was no. exception!
However, before the performers got
started': the quiz teams from Exeter,
Goderich and Zurich participated in an ex-
citing quiz on Proverbs 11: 1-15. The quiz
was won by Goderich with 200 pairs'. ;min..,.
ed closely by Exeter with 180 points and
Zurich third.
The Zurich Mennonite Youth contributed
to the evening with' "Menno Magic" and
"Petra Jr.", two of the nation's top air
bands! Also, Gary performed with a variety
of talent. Lynette Hutchins, Chris Turnbull
and Kathy Mizen, all of Goderich, presented
a flute trip while Philip Gower, also of
Goderich, did a drum solo. The Exeter and
area youth acted out a skit called, "Pollu-
tion Fashion Show" and a duet sang two
beautiful numbers, one entitled E1•Sheddai.
In conclusion, Bob Heywood sang, accom-
panied by his accordian, and then gave a
short devotional about the power of God. He
reminded the audience that God is bigger
than all our problems and "Greater is He
that is in me than he that is in the wow' "' HP
concluded by stating that God hats
loves the sinner and if we become recce.
to God we can have peace.
