P OR JUICE C( ;FFEE O': TEA AN 'ESSERT CARL VOCK Mr. Carl Vock of Brodhagen passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, January 11, 1989 in his 59th year He was born in Logan Township on June 4, 1930, a son of the late William Vock and the former Hilda Bennewies. On April 15, 1952, he was married to the former Betty Kemp. Mr. Vock was a Sales Manager of Perth Huron Concrete, Stratford. Mr Vock was a former Reeve, Deputy Reeve and Councillor of Logan Township and had served as Warden of Perth County in 1980. He was presently president of the Past Warden's Association and a Trustee on the Perth County Board of Education. He was a member of Tudor Lodge No. 141 AF & AM and Elliot Chapter. . Mitchell, Stratford on Avon Shrine Club, St. Elmo Perceptory, Stratford and the Mit- chell Agricultural Society. He was a former member of the Brodhagen Chamber of Com- merce. He was a member of St Peter's Lutheran Church, Brodhagen and a member of the church choir. Surviving besides his wife are two sons Douglas of Seaforth and William of Mitchell; three daughters Joyce and her husband Dennis Westman of Cambridge, June and her hus- band Ken Faust of Mitchell and Wanda and her husband Mark Swanson of Willowdale. three sisters Mrs John (Pearl) Henderson of Sauble Beach Mrs. Bruce (Erma ) Mclean of St. Marys and Shirley Jarrett of Stratford. Also surviving, are eight grand- children. He was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Cathy (Somers , Vock (1988 Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell, Funeral Services were held on Sunday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brodhagen with Rev. Tim Hegedus officiating. The church choir was m attendance and sang I Know Who Holds Tomorrow accompanied by Lois Bennewies at the ' organ. Flowerbearers were Peter Baker, Ken Siemon and Gerald Beuermann Pall bearers were Cecil Cowell, George Jar- muth, Earl Bennewies, Tom Turner, Charles Scherbarth and Lloyd Beuermann Spring interment will be in St. Peter':, Lutheran Cemeters 4rodhagen. "TED" HETMPEL Mr. Edward G. (Ted) Heimpel of Mitchell passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 10, 1989 in his 67th year. He was born in Logan Township on August 16, 1922, a son of the late George Heimpel and the former Edith Rose. Mr. Heimpel had been employed at Standard Products, Mitchell until his retirement. He had served on the Mitchell Fire Dept. for 17 years. He was a member and Past President of the Mitchell Lions Club and was a Past Deputy Governor of District A-9. He was also a member of the' Mitchell Agricultural Society and Grace Lutheran Church in Mitchell. He is survived by his wife the former Leona O. Schauer. one son Norman and his wife Joanne of Seaforth, two brothers Arthur Heimpel and his wife Marie of Mitchell and Don .Heimpel and his wife Joanne of Windsor; two sisters Mrs. Laverne (Rose Pletsch of Stratford and Mrs. Gerald (Alice 1' Cook of Bornholm and three grandchildren Krista, Edward and Adarn Heimpel. Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home in Mitchell. Funeral Services were held at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday with Rev. Michael Thurau officiating. Firmer bearers were Anne and Dan Costello Pallbearers were George Schutt, Bob Seebach. Ken Cook, Gary Geyer, Doug Francis and Floyd Wassmann. Spring interment will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Mitchell. On Thursday evening members of the Mitchell Agricultural Society paid their respects at the funeral home and members of the Mit- chell Lions club with members of surroun- ding clubs held a service under the direction of Lion Cecil Jermyn of Mitchell. January 11, 1989 at University Hospital in London. He was 74. . Born in Murray Township on October 14 1914. he was a son of the late David Mac- Donald and the former Verda Leeson. Mr MacDonald was a former Bank Manager at the Province of Ontario Savings and Loan Bank in Seaforth and a past president of the Royal Canadian Legion. Seaforth Branch 156 He was a member of the Britannia Lodge No 170 A.F and A.M Seaforth, served on the Board of Management of First Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Seaforth Chambers of Commerce and a chairman of the local chapter of the Ar- thritis Society. Mr. MacDonald served in the Royal Cana- dian Air Force for five years during World War Il, and after the war lived in London for a short while before moving to Seaforth in 1947 He worked first for the Bank of Mon- treal, then moved to the Province of Ontario Savings and Loans Office He refired in 1976 and in 1982 moved with his wife to London, Mr MacDonald is survived by his wife, the former La Belle Hawkins: and one son Robert and his wife Elaine of Mississauga. Also surviving are two sisters, Kathleeen (Mrs Floyd Lemon of Ottawa and Jean (Mrs: Ray McPherson , of Belleville. and three grandsons, Andrew. Mrs. Coleman opened the meeting with a poem, "New Year Thought Mrs. Dietz then introduced the guest speaker, Carolanne Doig; who tallied on ex- ercise and keeping fit. Ms. Doig then led the ladies through several 'stretching and fun exercises.
