Education and Cultural Activities meeting
of .the Staffa Women's Institute. It will be
held on Tuesday, January 24 at 1:30 p.m. in
the 'township hall. The roll call is bring and
tell. an article from another country.
Emily Beimers was an overnight guest of
Carrah Templeman on the weekend.
Ethel Mae Stanzak, Ottawa, visited. for •a

The members of the Hibbert, United
Church Women, gathered at noon on
Wednesday.in'.the Rife Center .tor
their annual potluck' meeting, beginning
with a luncheon supervised by Wilma But-
son and Verlta' Mahon. Later, ,about the
table, forks were exchanged for tiymn books
as Margaret Christie led in the Devotional
time, her scripture being the story of the
return from Egypt.
The program too was potluck with each
one present contributing a number. Items
ran ii um cherished readings to a musical
demonstration, with an interesting contest
as a finale.
During the business portion chaired by
Margaret Christie reports were heard bum
the social committee by Jay Dearing and
from the retiring card secretary Marjorie
Drake.
At time.of writing Doris Miller is a patient
m Stratford General Hospital.

meeting of the Ladies' Aid at the home of
Mrs. John Vanass on January 11 "A prayer
for the New Year" was read by the Presi-
dent, Mrs Stewart Steins "Nen Years
traditions" and "The ladies Aid" were
read by Mrs Stuart Stevenson Mrs Donald
Perrie read the minutes and Mrs Vanass
gave the treasurer's report

Through Friendship House" It was decided
to give a donation to each of these. The an-
nual meeting of Knox Church will be herd
January 31 beginning with a pot luck dinner
