first period. When Wellesley scored a se-
cond time, Travis Lyndon kept the Cents in
the game with an unassisted goal,
But defensive lapses let the Apple Jacks
get ahead. Seaforth had good offence, and
got 33 shots at the Wellesley net. Tim Moore
picked up a rebound on a point shot froi
Lyndon and got Seaforth's third goal. Brad
Beuttenmiller also assisted on the goal: But
Wellesley had more scoring opportunites,

deep into the Hawks' end. Murray carried
the puck out of the corner and put a
backhander upstairs.
Exeter, however, kept pace with Seaforth
on the scoreboard. Centenaires coach
Graham Nesbitt says his team generally
played a strong game against Exeter, but
didn't cash to on scoring opportunities. Ex-
eter took the advantage late in the second
period when they were leading 3-2. Seaforth
missed a scoring opportunity that should
have tied the game for them, but instead Ex-
eter turned the puck around and it ended up
in Seaforth's net. Then 16 seconds later they
scored again to make the score 5-2 and take
a decisive lead.
Andy Ball teamed up with Ray Murray to
score a third goal for Seaforth shorthanded,
but Exeter's offence hammered out more
goals, and the game ended 7-3 for Seaforth.
Shots on goal in the game were 39-30 for
Exeter.
Exeter went on to beat Grand Valley 7-1 in
the consolation final, and Wellesley made it
to the "A" final where they faced off against
Caleddn and were beaten by an 8-7 margin.
In an earlier league game, the
Centenaires were beaten by Exeter on home
ice on January 3.
The Cents next home game will be on Fri-
day, January 13 when they face Brussels.
