The Huron Employment Liaison Program is a new organization with'the goal. of
developing employment opportunities -in Huron. The program requires an Office
Manager to direct all clerical, bookkeeping end secretarial functions and Place-
ment Coordinator/Counsellor-le) to provide counseling and employment prepare -
lion training to participants. H.E.L.P. is a smoke-free environment with plans to
locate centrally in Huron County,
OFFICE MANAGER
The Office Manager will be responsible for day -today management of the H;E.L.P.
office under the direction of the Program Manager. This -will include: organizing
and maintaining an efficient office; performing clerical, bookkeeping and.recap-
tion duties; preparing and maintaining payroll records; purchasing end keeping
records of equipment and supplies; scheduling meetings; typing reports and
documents; establishing and imaintaining filing system; developing a resource
library; providing inlomabon and referral to callers; and, supervising other Clerical
personnel from time to time.
The Office Manager will have the following qualifications: related post -secondary
education; three years' office management/clerical experience; supervisory'eco-
perience; familiarity with government funded programs; payroyand bookkeeping
training andexperience; word prpcessing skills; high degree of initiative, discre-
tion and judgement; ability to meet deadlines; and ability to work independently
or in a team,
Salary commonsurate with qualifications and experience between $18,000-$24,000.

Under the direction of the Program Manager the Placement -Coordinator/
Counsellor(s) will provide both individual and group counseling and training to
participants; design training,programs• search out andldent/lypatentiaempfoyars
for work placements; assess all appllcantsiolhe;prngram; monitorand•evaluate
trainee progress; and, maintain liaison ..with :other community agencies and
businesses.
The Placement Coondinator/Counsallor(s) will have the following qualifications:
