LADIES BROOMMMALL
DEC. 21/88
PERTH -0 JR. F
The arena roof was blown off when the Jr.
Fanners won their first game. The players
were full of esteem - a victory they finally
achieved. Wow! What a Christmas bonus as
Karen Coultes chalked up three points, and
her partner Kim McDougall also received
three points. Liz Coghlin scored or a Hip
shot, with a little backup from Deb Bedard
and Crystal Whyte. Perth Ladies had their
chances but could not accomplish anything.
COMMERCIALri Q1JEENS-2
A notable goal was scored by Cheryl
Kruse assisted by Brenda Empy and Jean
}leggin, Pat Koehler, a point player, shot
from the blue line and scored after taking a
great pass from Janice Cairns. A dynamite
blast to the top corner and Calana McClure
scored fashionably. Passing by Linda Boyd
and Tammy Nash set up the goal. Good
game Ladies.
PARR LINE -4 WINTHROP-0
A fluctuating shot by Donna Preszcator
scored after a great pass by Joan H.
Henderson. Sueanne Van Miltenburg polite-
ly popped two sure goals with help from
Heidi Elliott. With a keen eye, Bev Shea saw
an opening and guided the ball directly into
the net. Nice pass by Sandi Fremlin. The
Winthrop ladies' Christmas spirit was dying
off, and they accumulated no goals.

MENS BROOMBALL
DEC. 22/88
RAIDERS -1 GRADS -3
Henry Wydeven accurately picked an
open corner shot and scored assisted by his
brother Adrian. Ray Filson abducted the
ball and pushed it through the goalie's feet.
By Ray's side was Robert Wydeven. Oppos-
ing team pulled their goalie and Craig
Kerslake scored on a nice pass by John
McLagan. An abrupt shot by Dave Hulley
was good for another goal.
RED RUSTLERS -1 WfNT*8ROP-3
After his shot rebounded off of the oppos-
ing goalie, Brian McGavin got a second
chance and scored, His assistance came
from Ed McClure. Two determined goals
were scored by Ross Mitchel donations
came from Jim MacDonald, Jim Scott and
Bill Shortreed. A scramble in front of the net
proved profitable for Steve Faulds.
KNIGHTS -2 RIVER RATS -0
Larry Herten twirled twice, got his bear-
ings, shoots and scored - no assistance need-
ed. With a quick wrist shot, Lawrence Vink
put the ball into the net after taking a con-
trolled pass from Ron Janmaat. The River
Rats always manage to ring the ball off of
cross bars and goal posts but not directly in-
to the net too often. There's still next week
guys.
DUMPERS -2 EASY RIDERS -2
Getting his own rebound, Bill Dale shot
again and scored. Joe Dorsercs shot from
the blue line and scored to tie the game. in
the second half Bob Nash deflected a shot by
Frank Flanagan directly into the net. Ed
Van Miltenburg was the hero who tied the
game.
PARR LINE -3 ROYALS -1
A shapely goal was scored by Dennis
Dohnage, after sensational passing by Steve
Gibbings and Verne Thompson. Paul Nurse
skirmished tothe ball and popped it directly
into the net, thanks to Paul Gibbings. A bolt
of lightening struck as Roy Fisher's sketchy
shot travelled into the net. Nice passing by
Rod Merner and Don Wise created the goal.
A goal for Royals was done by Jack Van
Miltenburg whose blasting shot travelled
under the goahe's legs. Doug Eidt assisted.
