S.P.S.
It's this time of year.
To put up Christmas holly
So drink eggnog and give
cheer
And be very jolly.
The time is coming now,
To put up your stockings anc
tree,
And when Santa comes on
that special night,
Leave.a cup of tea.
It is the festive season.
It comes once a year,
So when you see him in the
sky,
Don't have any fear.
Well. the time has come and
gone.
Where does -the time fly?
But we won't,forget old Sgnta
Claus
Until the day we die:

THE HURON EXPOSITOR, DECEMBER 22, 1982 — All
Twas the night after Christmas
Twas the night after Christ-
mas.
The house was a mess,
If you thought it a junkyard
twas a pretty good guess,
The stockings were hanging
but only by threads.
While under them rolled two
dolls'without heads,
The children were screaming
and throwing their toys.
I wished they were sleeping,
it'd sure help the noise.
Ma in her housecoat and 1 in
mine, too,
Were cleaning the charcoal
they'd put in my shoe.
Have you ever seen a paper-
making plant?
You might know the differ-
ence but I really can't,
From the floor to the ceiling
crumpled paper lay,
If you can believe me it was
quite a day.
The pictures were crooked
hanging on the wall,
Three windows were broken -
no surprise at all?
The turkey for dinner
couldn't be found,
We wouldn't have ever, it
was all in our hound.
The children were yelling and
screaming alot,
They had wrecked almost
everything they gave and
they got,
They had a bugs bunny that
went beep, beep. beep,
It lasted 3 minutes, was
thrown and called cheap,
The nem toy found was a big
racing car,
It looked like it started, but
didn't get far.
Beyond all this stuff which
was covering the house,
I would have sworn that we
had a mouse,
1 thought with my brain and 1
really thought hard,
What else would rip up every
• Christmas card?
What about the mousetrap. it
was also there?
Hope it wasn't my kid or I'll
spank you -know -where.
If you think that's bad you
listen real well.
It isn't a mess till you see a
tree fall,
The dog was already to have a
little fun,
So he chased the cat and it
started to run.
Now our cat would just
happen to like green the
best.
So he climbed the tree and
you know the rest,
The main thing I saw was the
angels and balls,
Which fell on our dog which
yelped down the halls.
At about 3:00 a.m. we all got
to bed.
I really felt bad -especially my
head,
Wouldn't you know it•would
he iust the time.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
The bells are ringing on
Christmas day. The angels
are sending their love. The
love is going t6 the world.

An olfashioned Chris
When the aspirins were gone -
all that's left is a lime.
I started to sleep and was still
full of fear,
When 1 heard a strange sound
that sounded heal near:...
Away to the window I flew
like a flash,
Tore open the shutter and
threw up the sash.
When what to my wondering
eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh and
eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver so
lively and quick,
1 knew in a moment it must be
St. Nick,
Oh no....not again....

MIRY CHRISTMAS
At Christmas the lights shine
At night and the bell rang.
The snow sparkles.
