Last Wednesday several Ruddick, Minnie Fowler and
,Huronview residents took Emily Williams. Escorts for
advantage of the beautiful this outing were Mabel Scott,
Evelyn Archer and Ray Can-
telon.
Worship service was held
in the chapel with Reverend
Norman Pick in charge. Elsie
Henderson assisted at the
organ. Getting into the spirit
of Christmas, carols were
sung and the anthem by the
choir was called "Ring Out
the Bells".
Weatherwise, it certainly
doesn't look like Christmas,
but snow or not, the Day will ,
soon be upon us. We had our
first Yuletide concert this
afternoon in the auditorium.
A variety program arranged
by Mrs. Mabel Gray and Mrs.
Joan Henwood, consisted of
carols\and instrumentals. In
the ensemble were clarinetist
-Mrs. Bonnie Dunn, violinist,
Mrs, Mabel Gray, soprano
soloist, Mrs. Joy Harrison,
baritone soloist, Mr. Ralph
Henderson, tenor, Mr. Roy
Rutledge and pianist, Mrs.
Joan Henwood. These acc-
omplished musicians pre-
sented an excellent program
of choruses, solos. duets

Evelyn Archer welcomed the
guest performers of Goderich
and Mabel Gray introduced
each one of the group. Roy

spring day and went to
Stratford to,do -Christmas
shopping.
.Thursday, a decorated tree
was set up in the auditorium
and throughout the building
we are reminded that the
'festive season is fast app-
roaching!
Many, residents and staff
were in Dashwood Friday
afternoon attending the
Christmas Bazaar at Arc
Industries. A good number of
our own arts and crafts were
on display and from latest
reports, sales were excellent
and the day was quite
successful.
Saturday was an eventful
day for several of our resi-
dents with impaired eyesight
as they were guests of the
C.N.1.B. A beautiful Christ
mas dinner including turkey
.and all the trimmin4s was
provided and held to the
Seaforth Legion Hall. Enter-
tainment was presented by
Bob Heywood, accordionist,
who played and sang sacred
aid Christmas music. On the
program sisrD was a male
quartet that sang a medley of
favourites. The residents
who enjoyed this special time
were Agnes Daer, Frank
Crich, Edna Cantelon. .fin,

was an afternoon of enjoy-
able music.
Monday we had another
special treat as Martha and
Earl Heywood presented
their Christmas concert. This
couple is very popular with
the residents and an hour
soon was filled with music,
song and magic by the
Heywoods.
Through the courtesy of
the Clinton High School
pupils of the art class are,
busy at Huronview, painting
colourful scenes on the win-
dows. Each day now, it is
beginning to look a little
more like Christmas.
In the new auditorium.
s
placed on the wall, is a copy
of the Constitution of Canada
and a lovely portrait of our
Queen Elizabeth 11. Both are
beautifully framed and we
are proud and happy to have
these gifts donated to Huron -
view through the efforts of
Murray Cardiff.
Congratulationsto mem-
bers of Huronview staff who
have successfully passed the
St. John's Ambulance course
