Mrs. Harold McCallum and Mrs. Ed Regele spent Wednesday of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Prezcator. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and yrs. Robert Me - Cowan in the passing of the former's mother, Mrs. Isabel McCowan. Sympathy is also extended to Mr. Peter Mc- Cowan and family. Master Chad McCallum attended a birthday party Saturday for Kevin Beuer- man. Mrs. Joy McCowan visited on Wednesday with Mrs. Don Brown and Mrs. Jack Pines of Aylmet and Mrs. Betty Conad of Tillson- burg. All four ladies visited m the Oshawa and Uxbridge area, with various owners to whom Mrs. Conad had sold Great Dane puppies this past springs. School records to Archives BY STEPHANIE LEVESQUE The Perth County Board of Education approved the transfer of pre -1969 school and school board records to the Stratford•Perth Archives at its Nov. Ib meeting. The board was' offered three alternatives leaving the record% in their prescntloca- tion in thp vault at the board's administration building in Stratford. transferring them to the Ontario Archives in Toronto nr to the Stratford, Perth Archives in Stratford. Trustee Peter Black voted against approval stating the records should remain in the board office. He said there arc some board agreements made prior to 1969 that should remain in the build - Dg. irector of education Ken Self suggested it wouldn't be difficult to get to the records at the Stratford -Perth Ar- chive%and added the records arc from before the county board was established. Trustee Rev. John Ander- son said the best place for the records would be in the local archives. He noted there is a great historical interest in Perth County and having all the records under one roof would be beneficial. The local archives have indicated to the board it would be interested in having the records as they have had nur,+crous requests for them in the past. Visit from Saudi Arabia Correspondent MRS. CECINA RYAN 345-2028 Intended for Last Week Jack and Fran Malone of Saudi Arabia spent two weeks recently visiting relat- ives in the area and also with Fran's father Mr, Frank Woods in Teeswater. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Subject at Kitchener and family visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ryan. Several people from the St. Columban area attended the Dublin Parish dance which was held in the Mitchell Community Centre, on Sat- urday night with proceeds gang to the missions. Mr. and Mrs, Ray Malon- ey, Joan and Anne Marie and Patrick and Margie Nolan are holidaying this week in the sunny St. Petersburg, Flori- da. Two door prizes were won by Millie Swan, R.R. 1, Mitchell and Pauline Devereaux of Seaforth. Mrs. Theresa Maloney moved to the Ritz Lutheran Villa in Mitchell last week. We wish her much happiness in her new surroundings. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Malon- ey, Joan, Anne Marie and Patrick and Margie Nolan returned home on Saturday from a holiday in St. Peters- burg. Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Cronin and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ryan attended the wedding and reception of Margaret Eckert and Robert Curtiss in Cambridge on Sat.. Nov. 20. Margaret is the daughter of Fred and Bette (Kramers) Eckert. Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Cronin and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Maloney of Stratford were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Andre Lachapelle of Kitch- ener on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Ryan and boys of Melbourne visit - e on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ryan and on Saturday evening with Neil and Glenda Murray. Miss Cathy Murray of Toronto spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Murray. Sister Jean Moylan of Windsor visited on the week- ' end with Mrs. Mary Moylan and on Sunday Bill and Luella Murphy and family visited at the Moylan home. Mr. and Mrs. Don Moylan who drove Gordon Moylan's car to Edmonton, Alberta returned home on Wednes- day by airplane.
