Greeters were Lorne Hunking and Steve Bromley, Ushers for both services were John Cartwright, Larry Gross, Russell Nesbitt and Gary Wilts. Mr. Swan welpomed all and gave announcements, Next Sunday October 24 will be introduction service for Colin Swan at 8 p.ns. Chairman of Huron•Perth Presbytery will be in charge. Guest speaker is Rev. Joan Middegaal intro- duced the guest speaker, Seamus Doherty, teacher at CHSS.- speaking on citizen- ship. There were 2 present not born in Canada. Mr. Doherty was bdrn in Ireland and Is now a Canadian citizen. We have immigrants from many countries each one must contribute and respon- sibly teach children to respect ,all, he said. He was thanked by Trudy Pollard and present- ed with a gift which he contributed to W; I. to their work. Courses coming up -two people to attend baking for Christmas Dec. 8 & 9 at Goderich twp hall, Holmes- ville. PERSONALS ' The community was shock- ed to learn of the passing of Ted Hunking on'Itri_a.m. He was admitted to Clinton Pub- lic Hospital Thurs. p.m. and transferred to University Hospital, London, Friday am. where he passed away, age 62. Sympathy is express- ed to his wife Pat and family Vaughn, Donna, Joan and _Robert. Mrs. Marion Hunking had an eye cataract removed at Victoria Hospital.. London. Ken Hulley was admitted ' to the Seaforth Hospital on Saturday. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Hunking on the birth of a new granddaughter Becky Lynn, born to Mr. and Mrs. Murray Huhking, Octo- ber 14 in Goderich Hospital. Beverly Lee of Toronto spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and' Mrs. Jack Lce, Thanksgiving Monday sup- per guests with Mrs. Laura Lyon were her family, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Lyon, Brad- ley and Deanna, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Lyon, Cheryl, Mr. and MPs. Ron Moes and Laura, Wayne Lyon, Jane, Christianson and Edythe Beacom. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mc - Ewing spent a few days last weekend in Muskoka area. Mr; and Mrs. Tom Allen were guests at his nieces wedding Carol Allen to Jef- frey Darling on Saturday at Elimville United Church and reception in Exeter. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Norman, Darlene; Wm. and Cheryl of W Ingham visited on Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Marion Hunking and Bernice attending anniver- sary servicers here.
