A resolution was present- ed from the village of Zurich concerning Huron County School Board restrain budgets for the next two years. It was decided to call , the meetings for 8:15 p.m. The North Huron Regional meeting in Brussels United Church, October 13 was announced. The November Meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Laura John. Ston. Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler had charge of the program continuing with the study book on "Spiritual Strug- gle." She showed the film "Family Life In the Home land." Everyone was reminded of the Fall Rally to be held on October 13 in Hensall. Mrs. Nicholson closed the meeting with prayer. AFTERNOON UNIT The Afternoon Unit of the U.C.W. met October 4. Mrs. sF�rl Anderson conducted the business. Mrs. William Fenton and Mrs. Walter Scott were in charge of the service of worship. Each read scripture giving thanks. As we give thanks' with our offering today, said Mrs. Scott, we are reminded of the company of Christians df our own and other lands who are with us within the fellowship of the world-wide church, Readings concerning missionaries and their work in Trinidad. Japan, Korea, Africa and India were given hs Mrs. Fenton and Mrs, Scott. Mrs. Helen Martin read of a condensed form of The Book of Job. This is a book for every season. It remained for Christianity to take up where it leaves off; softening the rigid law of retribution and anchoring our bond with God to faith on earth and grace in heaven.
