Mrs. Doig spoke of a booth on the Thursday of Seaforth's 1 fair for fair workers and judges. It was decided to have a booth to accommodate these folks. The Institute Rally is ,to be held in Grand Bend on Oct. 4 with opening at 10 a.m. Mrs. Lorne Lawson spoke of the plans to entertain at the Oct. meeting. Invitations were sent out. Lunch was served by Mrs, Doig, Mrs. Lorne Lawson, Mrs., Eldon Kerr and Mrs. Mary Nolan. THE NEW CANADBAN CLUB of Huron and Perth has donated $1,000 to the new Seaforth and district community centres. With over 350 members, the donation was taken from club funds. Dances are held regularly to raise money. (Wassink photo) Bazaar is coming up Sunday morning service at Huronview was held in the chapel ',with Rev. Pick in charge. Frank Bissett pre- sided at the organ. Mr. Pick read scriptures from the books of John and Joshua and told the story of Joshua. He also spoke on loyalty and obedience to God. The choir sang an anthem entitled "Jesus The Son of God." Monday was a holiday but. Tuesday morning the regu• lars were playing euchre, the popular past time. In the afternoon Special are resi- dents and some from first floor north had a social hour in the auditorium. Frank Bissett provided piano music and played for an impromptu sing a long. Refreshments were served. Our group is really growing and about 30 residents joined in our session today. , Wednesday morning and afternoon several of our folk went out for van rides. How good it is to be outdoors enjoying this fine weather since, summer is slipping by us rather quickly. The Huron - view chapel service was held in the chapel with Mrs. S. Proty in charge and Elsie Henderson presided at the organ. A prayer of blessing over the service was had. The memory verse-, contest was visualized from last week. The verse from this week's contest was visualized. The verse "In Him was life and the life was the Tight of men." The message taken from this verse was found in St. John 1: 4. We extend a warm wel- come to Mrs. Hazel Feagan from Goderich and Mrs. Margaret Henderson from Hensall who are now residing at Huronview. A reminder that our fall bazaar and tea will be held on Wednesday September 29 from 2 to 4 p.nl in the new auditorium. On display will be numerous articles bf knitted wear. cro- cheted items and a home baked goods' table. There will he many interesting ceramic works such as child• ren's bed lamps. livingroom lamps and vases. You will be delighted with all the colorful crafts made by the residents with the help of staff.
