(Photo by Phillips) Wed in Alberta Go DbllOn ©id ©t? © THE HURON EXPOSITOR, SEPTEMBER 22, 1982 A5 Take time to enjoy autumn Correspondent JOAN CRONIN 345-2772 The weeks go by , so quickly, I wonder how many took time to notice what was going on around them. We are well into the fall season and to me the most beautiful. The 'fall colours are a photo- grapher or painter's dream come true.„ For only the Master Painter could create such colour and beauty on earth for the human eye to observe. But, sad to say, today's society is so caught up in the economic turmoil of our country, that one only hears of their complains and frus- trations. Atone tine not too long age, the only high one heard about was that which was gotten from a pill or a plant, but, now that is replaced by the phrase, high inflation, high interest, and high unemployment. No one is ever satisifed with the weather as it is either too hot or too cold,' too wet or too dry. If your day had any good points they would soon van- ish after you listened to the news at night. After hearing of the wars, deaths, fires, and accidents, one wonders what happened to the good news or is there noneo f that any more? Life is passing us by and we are all so preoccupied with ourselves, our commit- ments, social activities and family' obligations that we all forget to take time. Now you are going to say what time, there is none telt and what would 1 do with it if there were any? Well, 1 found this verse some 'time ago and it 'has a great deal of merit in its conclusions and maybe some of these forgotten priorities will make for you a better day. Take Time to Think.... It is the source of power. Take Time to Play.... ' It is the secret of perpetual youth. Take Time to Read.... It is the Tountain of wisdom. Take Time to Pray.... It is the greatest power off earth. Take Time to Love and Be Loved, It is a„God-given privilege. Take time to be Friendly.... It is the road to happiness. Take Time to Laugh.... It is the music of the soul. Take Time to Give.... It is too short a day to be selfish, Take Time to Work..,. It is the price of success. Take Time to do Charity.... It is the way to show all mankind you care. , PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Bob Staple- ton and family, Kitchener were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Murray and Mr. and Mrs, Ferg Stapleton on Sunday.
