sary. The
social committee
reported 5 banquets and
thanked all.

W.I. CULTURAL AFFAIRS
The WI. met September 8
and._ toured the Seaforth
library. President, Margaret
Taylor welcomed all. Roll call
answered by 15 members

Margaret Taylor and Alice
Buchanan will attend the
London area convention. A
resolution requested it be
mandatory that smoke detec-
tors be installed in all homes.
The WI donated $10 to Blyth
Legion for Armistice Day.
Helen Lawson reported a
Historical 'September meet-
ing, Stephen township, Sept.
15 at 8 p.m. October meeting
to be in Brucefield.
Helen Lawson gave a talk
on "food that really smecks"
from a Mennonite cook book,
Margaret Taylor talked on
McGregor's written by Ro-
bert Laidlaw of Wingham.
When he died his daughter
Alice Munro finished the
book.
Beryl Reid introduced
Trudy Broome the librarian
of past five years. The library
was built in 1912. She
explained the services offer-
ed, large print books, talking
books, audio room films, etc,
microfilming of past and
present Seaforth papers. She
was thanked by Geneive
Allen and presented with a
gift.

Sunday were Dora and Gor-
