September 13. Although it was quite warm it was very nice on the grandstand and a good program was provided. Accompanying residents were Jackie Racho, R.N.A. Ruth Nolan, N.A., Laverne Nigh, H.C.A. and Mary Fin- layson, activity co-ordinator. Mr. Edison McLean was our bus driver and he was most courteous and helpful. A picnic was held on Friday on the patio and the weather was ideal. Along with hot dogs and hamburgs• etc. residents were able to have some tomatoes from their plants by the patio. The vines are just loaded with toma- toes. Happy birthday last Sun- day to, Mr. William Connolly who celebrated his'74th birth- day. Resident Council meeting was held last Thursday morn- ing at eleven o'clock. A good attendance was present and Mrs. Maxine Elliott was voted to fill the vacancy on council when Miss Mary Neville moved to Cambridge. A welcome was extended to new residents Mrs. Ria Vogel. PERSONALS Visiting with Dr. Ernest Sadlier on Saturday were his brother and sister-in-law Jack and Ethel Sadlier of Willow - dale. Mr. Erle Dow spent Satur- day with his daughter Mrs, Amy Gethke. A workshop is being plan- ned by the Ontario Nursing Home Association to be held at Seaforth Manor on Sep- tember 28th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The topic to be Problem Solving and Therapeutic Rei creation. Miss Marie Murphy Foran will be in charge. Congratulations are in order for staff member Deb- bie Maloney who was married recently and is now Debbie Hill. Fellowship grou The Fireside Fellowship Group of First Presbyterian Church met September 7 starting with a pot luck supper. The Colemans and the Phillips were in charge. Viola Lawson. President, welcomed the guests and members and opened with a poem "Take Time". Sam Phillips read the 100th Psalm, followed by a poem "September" which was read by:Jean Keys. Dorothy Scott.
