The third quarterly payment to the school boards of 5108,716.50, due on September 30, was also included. A donation to the Perth County Plowmen's Association was approved. Tile Drainage Loan appli- cations of 510,000.00 were approved. The township has received a letter from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food requesting the clerk to submit an updated list of tile drainage loan applications on hand as of October 1, 1982. Mrs. De Jong introduced the guest speaker Gwen Fawthrop who is on C.K.N.X. radio as "Garden- ing with Gwen." Gwen show- ed slides from Floriade in t- olland. The slides were taken in the spring and showed many beds of tulips and spring bulbs. In the buildings were displays off orchids, amarylis, lilies and large flower arrangements.
