C dubs meet
The Seaforth Calf Club
meeting was held at Eliza-
beth Stewart's home August
16.
Visitor Cathy Humphries
was welcomed. Members
volunteered to bring in
samples of crops that they
wanted to put in the agricul-
ture section of the fall fair.
The members moved to the
barn. where they greeted
the guest off the evening. GIen
McNeil. He demonstrated the
proper way to clip a calf.
While Mr. McNeil was clip-
ping he explained why he was
making a cut the way he did.
The calf was taken outside
and Mr. McNeil showed how
to make a calf back up. 'He
also gave tips on how to move
a calf from' one place .in the
line to another.
Mr. McNeil answered
questions and everyone went
to the shed for a small snack.
The president thanked Mr.
McNeil for taking the time to
visit and also for all the timely
tips.—Jeanne Saidivar
