Old house torn A PIECE OF EGN1ONDVI1LE HISTORY — While demolishing his house on Egmondville Main St, recently Harvey McLlwain, above with Brad Glanville, shows a piece of 1900 newspaper found in the was. The building, once a wagon and carriage shop where Premier Bill Aberhart of Alberta's father did business, was moved to the site in the early '20s. It's been used as a grocery .store, an egg shipping station, a feed company, an appliance store and finally. a house, according to elle Campbell's From 'Forest to Thriving Hamlet. We wish them well in their new home. We welcome to the village from the east road, Brian and Brenda Wilkinson, Anthony and Becky who purchased the Riley home. Mary and Frank held an antique sale on Saturday July 10th in the village. Court Constantine were busy with a lunch booth at the sale. Mrs. Florence McLlwain accompanied Mr. and Mrs. George McLlwain, Lynn and Steven of Stratford last Sun- day When they spent the, day in Goderich. John Scott returned home the past week from a motor trip to the west coast and also attended the Calgary Stam- pede. A number of children from the area attended Bible School in the Londesboro United Church from July 5th to 9th.
