Epidemic of This Disease.
Winter after winter Canada is swept
from ocean to ocean by an epidemic of
to grippe, or iifaeuza. It is one ot the
deadliest troubles known to our climate.
It starts with a sneeze—and ends with a
complication. It lays the strong man on
his bank; it tortures him with fevers and
chills; headaches and backaches. It
leaves the dnfferer an easy prey to pneu-
monia, bronohitie, consumption and
other deadly diseases. You can avoid
la grippe by fortifying your system with

Toronto, Feb 4—The run at the City
Cattle Market to -day was 70 loads, with
1,236 head 01 cattle, 29 sheep and lambs;
600 hogs, and 108 calves.
With another good ran of cattle in
the market to -day prices were well
maintained for anything of good quality
but for medium to common quality the
market was slow and weaker. There
was very little demand for the class of
medium light butcher cattle. Besides
being of a poor quality generally, the
class of light botcher cattle, weighing
in the neighborhood of 900 lbs., for
which there was for a time a very good
market has gone very muck out of fash-
ion of Iate, and the demand now is for a
good thick class of butcher cattle any-
where from 1,100 to 1,150 lbs. The ex-
port market is quite active and limn.
In the sheep and lamb market sheep
are steady, lambs firmer.
Hog market firmer and 25o higher.
