DECORATION DAY
Balmy summer weather
greeted approximately
severity friends as they ga-
thered at Brandon cemetery
on Sunday for the annual
decoration service. Colorful
floral tributes on the graves
told their story of love and
devotion.
Rev. John G. Roberts of
Knox United Church. Bel -
grave was in charge assisted
by Mrs. George Procter who
accompanied the hymn "0
God our Help" and "Lead on
0 King Eternal" on her
accordian.
The key word from Deut: 32
was "Remember". The mes-
sage centred on "Aspira-
tion•' and "Anticipation".
Mr. Roberts said we must
aspire to leave the world in a
better condition than when
our predecessors bestowed it
on us and move forward into
the future in anticipation of a
great reunion with our Sav-
iour and Loved Ones. With
this aspiration and anticipa-
tion. ever in mind. we can
proceed onward with a smile.
